In recent years track operators throughout the Midwest have worked together to insure dirt tracks from across the region are successful. With the recent announcement of a new sprint car series many tracks once again have jointly discussed the issues this brings to sprint car racing and have decided to continue their support of the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions and the organizations 30+ years of history including Ohio Sprint Speed Week and other special events.

The tracks announcing their support include Fremont Speedway, Limaland Motorsports Park, Eldora Speedway, Sharon Speedway, the NAPA Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway, Waynesfield Raceway Park in Ohio; Lernerville Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park, and Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania; Butler Motor Speedway in Michigan; Wilmot Raceway in Wisconsin; Huset's Speedway in South Dakota; and Volusia Speedway Park in Florida.

These tracks represent over 75 percent of the current UNOH All Star schedule.

The Renegade Series should have 40 cars minimum Saturday at Atomic.  Competition never hurts.

They may say it now but if the Renegade Series takes off and packs houses I've gotta think they'll change their tune real quick like.

The Ohio/PA tracks that are supporting the All Stars already have weekly 410 races and car support...I cant speak for MI & WI..

The tracks that don't have 410 weekly racing...Limaland, Eldora,Sharon are part of Ohio Speedweek...Excluding Atomic............

Looks like Webb is getting his ducks in a row...

Tracks paying a sanctioning fee for 2 cars?

Maybe Webb needs to change the name from "The All-Stars" to "The Two-Stars.

Yeah, that's what basically went down at Wilmot this year.  I was told by Webb that the extra money he brings in towards the purse is a big bonus.  So who is out then?  The track pays fees and the drivers get the money.  It seems to me that the track loses out because we would have just as many people in the stands for the All Stars as we do for the IRA.  I don't get it.  There is money being passed around somewhere.....

The renegades announced their "drivers" last week, then some of the "drivers" are missing the race??  Quantity of cars over quality of cars??  I have attended a weekly show at K-C..I mean Atomic, and it's a cluster with about 7 classes and poorly run.  So, the Renegade cars will be Kemenah, Wilson, Helms, Smith and Duncan.  The All Star cars will be Blaney, Shaffer, Holtgraver, Haudenschild, Jacobs.  I give the edge to the All Stars this week.

Nobody knows where drivers will be saturday except for Holtgraver and thats only because of his sponsorship committments.  The only for sure driver is Blaney and thats because he can very easily win and win all star points, because nobody follows them anymore.

As a fan, reading this makes me angry. So, in effect, these tracks are saying that.....

1) It is okay to have All Star races at their tracks, speedweek events at their tracks....so they can make money and get paid...

And at the same time...

2) It is okay that the drivers and race teams that put it all on the line...struggle to get paid by the All Stars and struggle to work with the All Stars in an effort to make it so the teams can survive to get to the next race...

I hope this all works out for everyone involved. I am trying to be impartial, but I am leaning towards a new series if they can fix some of the problems the disgruntled teams say they are having. Or maybe the leadership of the old series changes the way they conduct business.....maybe???

I think that the struggle you talk about has been resolved.  However, egos on both sides have been the problem.  I personally wouldn't run a series that is ran by drivers..my personal preference.  I can see problems developing whether intentional or not.

What people fail to realize is the power of the All Star name. It has been around forever and the casual fan knows it. The average Joe hears the All Stars are going to be at a track he knows he is going to see a good show. He doesn't know how many cars the All Stars bring as he just wants to see a good race and usually sees it with the All Stars.

When in the future a few new tracks book a Renegade show and take a bath due to lack of crowds because no one knows the name that will be the struggle.

Plus if these drivers have a beef with the All Stars they should not be showing up to support any of their shows. You know that is not the case as they are running to pay their mortgage this month and need to run the better paying All Star shows.

Guess time will tell.

Unless Limaland, Eldora & Waynesfield run more than 1 show I really can't see the big hoopla of them running them. If the fans don't show for the All Stars will the tracks keep bringing them back ?

The writing is on the wall. The Renegade series cannot survive in Ohio region without the support of any tracks other than Atomic. The new series cannot run Atomic 40 races a year and survive. The All Stars have to much history and pull way more fans than a new unheard of series. The average fan knows the All Stars not Renegade.

LOL 7 classes and poorly run show. I guess 3-4 classes a night = 7 in some peoples mind. And 2 of those classes avg 10-12 cars a night so there is 1 maybe 2 heats and then Atomic always runs there sprints 1st or 2nd depending on B mains and how it works out so that there isnt down time. Ask a sprint car team thats run there this yr, and they will tell you, we have been loaded and finished for the night by 11pm almost every night. Now the support classes or the enduros may last till 12 or 1 but most people that travel a distance leave after the main classes run because thats what they come to watch. And yes Sprinty11 your list is pretty accurate, you just failed to list about 10 other top teams that have said they will be at Atomic Sat for the Freedom 40.

Renegades can give up at any time or waste money. If you have no tracks to race at its over before its even started.
