A link in the above story has some of the better analysis of the situation I've seen and perspective I haven't seen so far in any US media - I commend the CBC for due diligence in reporting --

with regard to the comments in this article about lazy journalism and not taking time to find out the facts, that can be said about the main stream media for most reporting...not just this or reorting on stuff they don't normally cover.
journalism in this country has just turned into copying what someone else has written. in most cases the media is too willing to put out over dramatised stories and fan the flames just to keep the drama going and give themselves a reason to continue with it....kind of like cubic does.
too many people are putting out news reports on every subject without knowing all the facts, or just cherry picking the information to support their bias or opnion.
open minded unbiased journalism is hard to find.
to indy and beyond!!

....and the article by Robin Miller is also just as good. Everybody following this tragedy should read these 2 articles, especially the lame excuses for mainstream media reporters.

Robin captured my thoughts in one sentence,
"don't know what happened in those split seconds last Saturday, other than a guy who lives to race is likely dying inside and a young racer died needlessly."

worth repeating.................over and over.
To the Ward family and Tony Stewart - keep your eyes fixed on the Sun.
The greatest knowledge is to know that you know nothing
at all.
