TBJ just drove away from some of the most expensive 410 sprint cars on the planet and won his heat at Knoxville with a Ford.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

That was a great battle with I. Madsen in that heat, but let's see how he fares in the A. His car is bad fast though.

For the record.  A Ford passed the feature winner.

That was far from a "heavy surface" at Knoxville. He also didn't do much in the A. FORD POWER!

Oh boy.  here we go.  After this, can we get back to the "Central PA has the only sprint car racing on the planet worth watching" rant?!?!

Haha wink

Strange that he passed the feature winner but yet he didn't win $5k.

No one remembers or for that matter cares who/what wins heat races.

That's one of the best races I've ever seen TBJ run at Knoxville. I honestly didn't think he'd stand a chance to win that heat race, but he took it right to Ian Madsen. Hell of a job against one of the fastest Knoxville guys!

I'm sure that ends this year.   I'm sure we can look for TBJ to blow by him with his big bad Ford....

No one beats Donny but TBJ did beat 58 chevs last nite including the feature winner and point leader in the heat race when its more about engine than chassis.  No one will even care to notice but its the facts.

Wow, TBJ beat 58 Chevys in a single heat race?   Wow, that must've been one helluva heat race!   Would like to have seen that....

If he has the cars setup right he will! I know it is cheaper to run a GM based engine but it is nice to see something different. from time to time.

I would like to ask the people on this board with actual technical knowledge, what is the difference between the Ford & Chevy 410 sprint car motors?

Its all about engine during time trials.

How did he time?

29th quick and half a second off the pace.      FACT.

He started on the front row of a heat race and won, big deal.

Let me know if a Ford sets fast time at the Nats and manages to transfer out of its heat.

Only as much as the deballing rule book allows.  The best Ford design that dominates dirt late model racing that is way different than a sbc is illegal in sprint car racing.  TBJ's Ford is still like reinventing the wheel when you look at the ocean of average clones its competing against.
