I remember watching the crowd boo a fuel stop that came as a result of the WILD CHILD making a few work area visits in an 8 lap heat...that was wildy entertaining!

He was all over the track...and took the event down to equal ground with A 12 car ASCS event in Fayeteville NC that also needed a fuel stop to get 8 laps in the books.

amateurism is only entertaining when you need a gimmick

Did you see him at Lernerville? I don't blame him for turning around.

He had 1 bad race where he struggled to find the speed. His season otherwise has been one of the best in the country. Running the Grove was never on his schedule to begin with.

hmm... oddly quiet from the PA group regarding the race. Thinking it would be different had the Edge made it past Pittman. Just wondering why the 'better car' didn't win the race? wink

hmmm.....Pa group (and non-Posse fans) still oddly quiet after last nights Grove race. What's going on?? Has civility finally taken over?

Not much to talk about. The World of Also-Rans look even weaker than normal. The circus must be getting road worn? Maybe they are all on a retirement tour? Schatz hasn't even been his old self the past couple of trips into town.

Good race at the Grove between Hodnett and Marks.... nearest Outlaw was a straightway behind.

Pittman did manage to barely hang onto the win from the pole at Lincoln, after Montieth came the whole way from 15th and was gracious enough to show him the top was fast way around.

Pittman sure looked tired when he swept the Grove in May as well. Good point cubic.

A win is more important, and I'd bet Montieth would agree.  He wins the dash from the pole like he should have and maybe it's a different story. He didn't, PA racing doesn't need to defend itself from the MSPNs of the world, lol.  Eventually Pittman won't qualify 16th and start on the pole of everything will even out.  I don't remember anyone caring when he was wheeling the #27.

Of course, taking home the big prize it what it's all about but I still like to keep tabs on who passes the most cars. That's impressive to me also.

The work area and the 2 minutes really detract from the racing action. Perhaps if the woo really want fan input,  ask if they actually want a work area.. My vote.. Get rid of it.. I have seen nights where it can create cautions that take a total time that is longer than the actual racing action. I don't go to watch Sprints to watch pit stops. They add no entertainment value.

Yeah I could do without the work area, just delays an already lengthy show. 2 laps for a flat and that's it; anything else you need to get fixed by the time the field is ready to go green. Thems the breaks.

As for the Grasso deal, I think everyone is making too much of it. It's unfortinate that bad luck struck when he was running 2nd but even if he does get the tire changed, he's going to the rear. The team probably didn't think it was worth it to slap on some new rubber and tag the rear. This is a small budget team.

hmmm...continues to be 'oddly quiet' from the Pa group (other than the usual nonsense from cubic$$$ and BRR) despite the fact that Posse took 2 out of 3 (would quit possibly have been a sweep had Montieth not shown his hand prematurely) from the WoO. Had that occurred in any other part of the country this board would have been lit up like a Christmas tree with the chest pounding! I really think that the true sprint car fans from Pa get a bad wrap. Don't stereotype a whole group because of a couple of bad apples.
