Listened on DirtVisioin.  Sounded pretty wild.  Surprised no one has commented yet on the BWW #82 team winning first WoO race after blowing tire with 1/3 lap to go and still holding on for victory.  Not to mention a local car beating the best show on dirt.  Maybe no one cares, or not impressed, or maybe this board is reserved for only negative comments about this team.

I hope there is video.  Can't wait to see it.  Congrats to Roger.

The video is up on TheCushion.com - pretty crazy that he was able to keep it going and not get passed. Only downside is the stand they were filming from was crowd level so when everyone stood as he was coming off 4 you lost sight of him.

The video is on YouTube and Crockett's Facebook page. One of the big things that stod out ot me was the huge amount of empty seats at the race. Sure debunks the propaganda and bull**** on here that every Outlaw show is run in front of packed grandstands from coast to coast. LOL

My only reason I can come up with as to why no one is talking about him is because his name isn't Larson, Bell, or Abru.

I'm not totally positive, but between the frontstretch stands and backstretch stands, it probably sits 6500 or more. They also have a tailgate section that I know was jampacked with vehicles and people. Looks can be deceiving at I-94. I think they get in 2000 people or more on a regular night, but with all the seating and tailgating room, it looks empty.

One of the unique settings of Fergus Falls Speedway is the upper portion of the track hosts a "tailgating" portion, with a ring of Almost 3/4 the diameter of the track is attended by spectators my guess is 2500-3500 people are attending from lawn chairs pickup boxes or tailgates, kinda neat , and seems to be a hit, a walk thro the upper area provides you with a image of family and friends hanging out waiting for a race to happen and enjoying themselves.  not everywhere has that kind of ability to provide the spectators thier own personal party space,

Nice... I had heard that it was a HUGE crowd.  Great win for Roger!

also you did forget to mention the fact that it was down pouring all around the track with the exception of at the track, also the weather report had a majority percent of rain for the show

All the race videos I've watched and races I've attended last year and this year had great crowds. I don't think anyone is saying that EVERY show is sold out. I'm sure there are some that are less attended but from what I can tell attendance has been great.

There is no propoganda to debunk.

The reason why it wasnt brought up is because it's a positive story related to the WoO. Same reason we don't have a thread about the barnburner at river cities on Friday. Had either race had something wrong with it, the keyboard comandos (none of whom would actually be there) would have their usual posts signalling the demise of the WoO.

The race was filmed from the front strait stands the stands with all the empty seats are the pit stands.

We went with another couple that had never been to any dirt track race.  It was a great show.  The rain was coming so they skipped the 4 wide salute and got on with the race.  That being said, when the sprint cars were done, they still wanted to charge $10 a pop to go into the pits, as the modifieds still had to run.

First time at the track, and it is a really nice facility.  I will go back.  The tiered parking is like Cedar Lake in Wisconsin.  My wife even said she would like to see the WoO again!!!  That is a big win.

Fergus Falls is a nice facility modeled after Cedar Lake. The thing i do not like about the track is the type of dirt they have, not sure what it is but it just seems to crumble and not stick at all. I dont know how it is for the drivers to race on but the feature the fans could barely see. Great facility, but 2 lack luster shows in the 2years they have been there. I unfortunately dont see them coming back. I would like to see a 2day show in Grand Forks, that place never fails to put on an amazing show.

I don't see how you can expect anyone to know this has happened with the U.S. competing the World Cup.  Did anyone catch the thrilling 0-0 tie between Mexico and Brazil?

Who has time right now to follow Sprint car racing?

The other thing I see in the short video is the track conditions. The WoO always wants the track dry slick to better the odds of a win for their guys. They should let the tracks do their normal prep work and stay out of it. The first thing they tell track crews is dont water the track at all. We have rain all week so Beaver Dam should be good anyways. Lets hope the IRA represents well this weekend!

I tell it like I see it.

I was there and lets put it this way - he killed them on the kind of track the Outlaws love to have.

More to come in the upcoming Big J Report Presented by DeBerg Concrete hopefully later tonight.

Exactly! And I see after your post some of the naysayers did come out to comment.

Am I missing something?  What is this new low that you speak of?  If my calculations are correct (and I believe I am not wrong by more than a race or two) the WOO have run 39 races this year and a WOO full time driver has beat the locals 33 times.  Is that not dominate enough for you?

Congrats Crockett, but throw him in the next 20 WOO races and have him follow the circuit around.  How many does he win?

The race went flag to flag and he was on the pole.  You've never seen a car out front pull away from stiffer competition before with no yellows?
