NWWT Back In Action At GHR Saturday June 14th
By Ben Deatherage

Elma, Washington- Grays Harbor Raceway will host the third race of the 2014 season for the Northwest Wingless Tour on Saturday June 14th. The NWWT was last in action nearly a month ago on May 17th which took place at the 3/8-mile clay oval, also known as the “House The Fred (Brownfield) Built”, and the race this weekend will mark their final appearance at GHR this season.

The NWWT has visited Grays Harbor Raceway twelve times and has seen nine different winners. Kyle Miller has the most wins so far that anyone has managed to achieve, with three, since the series started to visit GHR in 2009.

Reece Goetz is the only other driver to win more than once with his sweep of the Big E Weekend back in 2011. Jeff Bell, Travis Rilat, Shawn Rice, J.J. Hickle, Evan Margeson, Seth Bergman, and most recently Mike Romig are the six drivers that have visited victory lane once when the tour has come to town.

With two races in the books so far in 2014 Colin Baker picked up a huge win over Kyle Miller and Mike Romig at Cottage Grove on May 3rd while Mike Romig won his first career NWWT victory on May 17th at GHR. Things should be interesting because GHR is the biggest track the series will visit in 2014 and with the Oregon Double Shot Series expected to be on hand the car count should be pretty good.

Tickets for Saturday will be Adults $13.00, Senior/Juniors/Military $9.00, Youths (7-15) $5.00, Youths (5 and Under) FREE, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $34.00, and Premium Seating $18.00. Pit Gates open at 4:00, Front Gates, 5:30, and Racing starting around 7:00.

In 2014 the Northwest Wingless Tour will participate in eight events at four different facilities in the Pacific Northwest. For the latest information log on to wingless.nwextremeseries.com. Also be sure and “like” us on Facebook.
