I can't believe we haven't seen more of this over the years... although it wouldn't be quite as comfy as the single car rigs, todays trailers are for sure big enough to operate 2 cars out of. One toterhome could transport enough crew guys for 2 cars, another SUV or minivan for a chase vehicle for a couple more guys to follow the rig in and it could be done without being too much of a logistical headache. 2 cars could share a mule and lots of the seldomly used tools and supplies and save a hunk of what it costs to go travel that much.
I would think the hardest part would be if 2 unrelated teams, not a family like the Allen/Shuchart team tried to partner up. It would be a bit difficult to evenly split travel costs, carwash costs, etc etc. It would also be tough to keep each teams inventory of parts dedicated to that car. "Hey isn't that my shock?" "Where did those new bars go that I bought last weekend?"...etc etc etc.
Still, I can't believe we don't see at least a few 2 car rigs following the circus every year. Of course me being a guy who can't afford to own a 305 and race 35 miles from home every week means I just can't wrap my brain around how all these people have so much money to buy big rigs and new fresh cars and parts as fast as everybody in racing seems to be able to do....hahaha
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.
