Winged 360 Sprint Cars & BCRA Midgets invade the Stockton Dirt Track this Saturday night May 17

Stockton, CA – May 12, 2014…The Stockton Dirt Track will hold its second event of the season this Saturday night May 17 when the 3/8 mile clay oval plays host to Winged 360 Sprint Cars and the traveling Bay Cities Racing Association Midgets. Also on hand will be the Vintage Super Modifieds.

The night will feature a lucrative payout, highlighted by the Winged 360 Sprint Car portion paying $3,000-to-win & $400-to-start the A-main. The runner up in the feature will earn $1500, with third place paying $1200, fourth place $1,000 and fifth place $900. The 360 Sprints will run a KWS/ Civil War style format during the night, which includes qualifying, heat races, a dash, LCS and A-main. It will also follow Civil War rules.

“We’re excited to get the Stockton Dirt Track back in action this weekend,” said Tony Noceti of the Noceti Group Inc. “We’re trying to have a variety of events at the Dirt Track, but being a special events facility is what we are striving for. This Saturday we’re putting up $3000 to win the Winged 360 Sprint Car feature so we’re hoping to see a lot of teams come out. The weather will be great for a night of racing and the track will be in awesome shape.”

It will be the fourth Winged 360 Sprint Car event held at the Stockton Dirt Track, with previous winners including Sacramento’s Willie Croft, San Jose’s Tim Kaeding and Rutherford’s Rico Abreu, who picked up the win in March. Rounding out the top-five in March were Washington’s Trey Starks, Placerville’s Andy Gregg, Campbell’s Bud Kaeding and Oroville’s Sean Becker.

For the BCRA Midgets it will be the third time that the series has competed at the blazing fast 3/8 mile clay oval. Last season’s BCRA debut was captured by Stockton’s own Jonathan Henry, while the event in March was claimed by Alex Schutte, who came from the rear after an early incident. Completing the top-five were Shannon McQueen, Sean Dodenhoff, Scott Kinney and Gary Conterno.

Tickets for the May 17 event are on sale, with upper deck tickets costing $20 and lower deck bleachers being $18. To purchase your tickets contact 916-370-9417.

There will be no reserved seating for the night, but the $20 ticket will allow fans to sit on the upper level. Pit Passes will be $40. Will call & ticket window will open at 3:30pm on May 17, with the front gate opening at 5pm and first heat scheduled for 7pm.

After this Saturday’s race, remaining events for the Stockton Dirt Track will include Tractor Pulls on Saturday June 14, Winged 360 Sprint Cars & Dirt Modifieds on Friday June 20, the West Coast Late Model Shootout Series/ Dirt Modifieds & Bombers on Saturday July 12, the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series/ Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprints & Vintage Supers on Saturday August 2, Monster Trucks & Tuff Trucks on Saturday October 11 and the Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series/ King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series on Saturday November 1.

The event on November 1 marks the first time that the Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series presented by Flowmaster and the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series competes on the same card. It will also be the 31st annual “Tribute to Gary Patterson” and is being filmed by MAVTV American Real for airing during the Dirty 30 Series.
