I believe it was a Maxim/Foxco

You might be right. But when Jon Stanbrough won all those non wing races for that team i'm pretty sure it was a DRC.

10hp brigg's straton on a shiftercart chassis..hahah

Man seeing the WOO go around a track 50 mph top speed is wierd.

They might as well run at the chilli bowl next year.

I'm sure if it was a DRC when he ran it, that was a strictly nonwing car. I've never seen a single winged DRC. Not sure if they'd suck with a wing on or what, but seems like NOBODY runs a DRC with a wing on it.

I seem to think I have heard a DRC announced as a car at Knoxville so far this year. Not sure who it is, but I will try to pay attention this week.

50MPH lol - It appears that Gravel was the only one that did much passing.  He probably thought that he was back in a mini-sprint on some tiny little track in New England. Smile

jesse hockett did.

drc did make a bunch of cars that had wing mounts on them. a lot of guys that ran both winged and non wing ran them. stanbrough mainly ran drc but he also ran F5s for other owners and tried j and j for non winged racing with little success

I for one enjoy watching the WoO race bullrings... Also evens playing field and allows a drivers skill level to be shown and not their pocket book. Also great car count, also makes for better racing, who wants to see 16 sprint cars(perris.) Run the smaller tracks and more people might run against the outlaws... just my thoughts.

I share those same feelings Kjholley , but Perris isn't a wing track. I like watching 70 non- wings run there.

Now Calistoga, Knoxville, Williams grove , Eldora , Thunderbowl ect. Is where I love to see the wing's run As well as the 1/4 miles .

Anyway they ran a great race @ Jacksonville and I love when they put the right rear up on the fence like they were.

That front straight was a little crazy if you came off high out of 4 and into 1 . Duke boys style!!!

Oh yeah... I agree with Kjholley on this one.

I've seen a ton of races on 3/8 and 1/2 and really enjoyed them, but seeing the WoO on that tight little 1/4 at Jacksonville was incredible.  Like Kj ... said, the larger car count is also a good thing.  I like both the big tracks and smaller tracks, very different, but both very good imo

Hockett always ran a DRC at the Lake before he & Dad got together to make the original Frankenstine car. To your point, DRC's are known more as non-wing cars & aren't as popular around our area. CB53's car appeared to be nothing more than a standard Maxim, FoxCo would be a good guess on the motor side, not sure on that.
