KISS Event at the Terre Haute Action Track Falls To Rain
Bloomington and Kokomo Doubleheader Up Next

April 27, 2014 – The 2014 King of Indiana Sprint Series event at the
Terre Haute Action Track was called because of persistent rain showers
that soaked the track. With a rule change by the promoters for this
year's series, the event can be rescheduled. The promoters of the
co-sanctioned KISS / MSCS event at Terre Haute are evaluating their
schedule for an opportunity to run the event on a future date. Coming up
on the KISS tour will be a weekend doubleheader, with races at
Bloomington Speedway next Friday followed by Kokomo Speedway on Sunday.

Brady Short, last season's King of Indiana, is already 3-for-3 at the
Bloomington oval this spring, and he has won the last two KISS events at
the quarter mile clay oval. Bloomington Speedway is located just an hour
south of Indianapolis, off of State Route 37. General admission for the
program is only $20 and kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult;
pit passes are $30. The night's events will include UMP Super Stocks,
Modifieds and Hornets. The main grandstand opens at 5:30, with hot laps
at 6:30 and racing beginning at 7:30. The pit gate will open at 4:30.
More information is available at www.bloomingtonspeedway.com.

The KISS racers will roll north of Indianapolis for the King of Kokomo
competition on Sunday. Robert Ballou captured the 2013 Kokomo Speedway
race, becoming the eighth different KISS winner at that track. Kokomo
will open the pit gate at 3 pm on Sunday and the front gate at 4, with
hot laps at 6:30. General admission is $20 and kids 10 and under are
free with a paying adult, while pit passes are $30. The Sunday night
racing program includes Kokomo's Street Stocks and Thunder Cars. For
more information, visit the Kokomo Speedway website at
www.kokomospeedway.net.

The 30-lap KISS main event will pay $2,500 to win and $250 to start. The
point fund is a total of $4,200, with the series champion earning
$1,200. Second in points will collect $900, and third through fifth will
receive $800, $700 and $600.

Gas City/I-69 Speedway will compete their KISS event on the following
Friday. The next weekend, KISS will travel to the southeastern corner of
the state for Lawrenceburg's competition. As has become their tradition,
Tri-State Speedway will host the KISS sprinters on Sunday of Memorial
Day weekend, just hours after the completion of the Indy 500. The 2014
KISS championship will be finalized at Paragon Speedway on Saturday, May
31 at Paragon Speedway.
