Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC right outside of Charlotte.  The United Sprint Car Series and Carolina RaceSavers race there a few times a few.

It's kinda like the Williams Grove of the South.  Its were all the best drivers in all the different stock car/late model classes meet on Friday nights to battle before they go to their home tracks on Saturday nights.

The Car is owned by Dave and financed by Al Heinke, owner of Heinke-Baldwin Racing. The 98H is the number Heinke uses on his Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series car driven by Jim Phelps It is sponsored by Mohawk Northeast, which Heinke is owner of. He also has Global Oil and Gas Services, Leylands (I believe Mike Heffner helps with Engines possibly) and also has Bill Davis Trucking on the front nose wing. It's safe to say Dave has not burned any bridges from the Nascar world

I was there Friday night the only comparison to williamsgrove i seen was they race on Friday night ..its a decent facility was a nice race track the surface was great for the 20-30 mph winds all day (except for the nascar fan mentality we have to stand up and watch the races) USCS sprints  8 ump mods and the Herriminator was the head line the racing in all was good . Lancaster on Saturday night in south Carolina looked more like the grove it might be bigger they are some long straights nicer facility good racing except it ended at 1:50 am and the (except for the nascar fan mentality we have to stand up and watch the races) pull that in PA you are gonna get hit with ice cubes or a beer can depends who throws it ....on a side note wake up Sunday in the parking lot in SC head for winchester speedway in VA to catch the rained out Friday NDRL late model show get there everybody's going on there digging up the track like they do in Indiana gonna be great you'll see all the big dogs were there 1st heat slick track 4th heat black slick don't get me wrong it was good racing the surface sucked.... more dust there then anywhere all weekend on a side note .... they have really made some nice improvments at Winchester the past couple of years note the shit hole it once was

I could be wrong but, I believe the reason people stand up for a race in the south is due to the fact that they sit on their brains... :/
