Not a basher, but congrats to Cody and the #4 team. Would definitely like to see them run more consistent.

1 of our finest posters on this board has a saying in that even the blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again.
Some were born to destiny & others have to work a little harder, not everyone can be the greatest.
Is KKR the only 1 running the WOO ?

I have seen Cody do some great stuff, especially at Lincoln.. This year his results have been much better which leads me to think that perhaps the setups are more to his liking..
Confidence will only increase with good results and build on itself...

So is Kasey Kahne a basher too? Read Darrah's interview last night in victory lane, kahne told Darrah if the results didn't get better, he might have to take the car off the road. So clearly it hadn't been going that well, not that we're allowed to point that out or anything.

Ok--remember, you asked for it. I was going to just keep my mouth shut, but here it is:
"Congrats to Cody Darrah on his remarkable 5th career WOO win in only 4 years! This win gives him solid footing in 9th place, just 65 points behind 59 year old Steve Kinser (who--by the way--everyone says sucks now and has lost his edge). He also has put a good distance of 55 points on Kraig Kinser and 67 points on 58 year old Sammy Swindell (who--according to the vast majority, does not even belong on the track anymore) He is now in control of his own destiny as he tries once again to be the lowest finishing, high budget car on the circuit this year. We can expect another fascinating top 10 finish in points--likely around 8th or 9th--possibly 7th if the King starts to wear down from the grind of the road. We will all be holding our breath waiting for his 2015 victory also. Congratulations!!!!"
How's that for you? Hope i didnt disappoint!

I doubt Cody's ever going to be a Schatz or Kinser, I can think of 8-10 drivers that were as fast or faster in PA on a regular basis when he was racing there I don't think anyone's that surprised where he's running. Someday I think he could be a consistent 5 race a year winner, if he makes it that long. Not the end of the world. I don't recall anyone who's watched him in PA saying he was going to win the 2014 WoO championship before the year. I can think of a couple people from CA that told everyone Tim Kaeding was going to run away with the WoO championship. A quick glance at WoO web page is showing him a dominating 7th in points, with the same amount of top 5s, one more top 10, and one less win than Cody Darrah. Maybe life on the road isn't as easy as it seems?

Assuming by your handle, you are a PA fan. Good post. My sarcastic response was because it seemed the thread was started as a "told you so" kind of thread. As if the sprint car racing world needs to watch out for Cody now or something. You summed it up perfectly--he is an average talent. Anyone who wants to argue that, please take a page from the book of Bill Parcell's quotes--"you are what your record says you are". What does Cody's record show? Average at best.
If at any point Cody starts to light the circuit on fire, then the "bashers" can be called out. But for now, they are not bashers--just using their eyes and their brains.
Coincidentally, I am a Larson believer. If he is not winning consistently in 5 years, all the haters can have at it!
