Kyle and Mason put on a great show at the end, I think Mason would have held on if that late yellow (Andy Gregg getting too high and spinning near pit in) didn't happen...Kyle's outside pass is a moment I'll never forget, that was beautiful. For them to be the top two in a Civil War event, that's one hell of a storybook ending.

Lots of cars went bouncing around, Kyle Hirst's hit on the frontstretch was pretty hard, good to see everyone's okay. Props to Justin Johnson's team for lending a wing to Matt Petty after Petty's early-race incident, unfortunately he got caught up in the Hirst wreck through no fault of his own and had to park it on the two-yellow rule.

Speaking of those who had a wild ride early on...

Forsberg really got lucky that attrition helped him back into the top 10, after that incident with Kinney, Greg, and Mark Hall on the first lap, it wasn't promising. Definitely a tough night for the #92 team, but one they were able to survive. Seems like they get better results with the six year old red wing...

Anyone know why Rollag pitted during the open red?

---

CJ Humphreys was noticeably absent from tonight's proceedings - I get the feeling they're still working on his car after his incident from last week where he made contact with Forsberg and rolled it after the checkered flag waved.

---

After chatting with Forsberg and then Mike Benson, I finally met Alissa Geving in the paddock...wish she had made the feature tonight, but it's good to know that the #3x will make it to Calistoga next week! Good luck to you guys, Alissa is really sweet and energetic in addition to being strong with the loud pedal. For once, the car didn't spend time upside down during a Civil War weekend...

---

In late-breaking news, Mike Henry had been let go from the #20 before tonight's event, replaced by Stephen Allard. I wonder if Allard's going to finish out the year in that car...and if Henry will get another ride before the season ends; he was 6th or so in Civil War points coming into the evening. Alissa and I actually discussed that a little (given what transpired at Petaluma a couple of weeks ago).

Thanks for getting the results up so quick Ed and thanks for the notes Chris. Wish I could've made it last night. See everyone at Stoga!

Also got a low quality video of the exciting finish up:

Kyle Larson's website has a better video of those last six laps:

congrats to Kyle and the vertullos on the win! Pretty amazing to see a 15 year old drive the wheels off a sprintcar and beat up on a pretty stout field. And on the high side at that. It should be pretty interesting to see how he does at Stoga.

I am glad you got to meet Alissa...... She is a great kid. I listened to you and got that rabbit's foot. Almost didn't get it into her car though with her being into animal rights. But I think it did bring some luck! Didn't make the A but that is OK because we loaded up the car in one piece. Her shock was broke in qualifying or we would have probably qualifyed better...... So we will see you in Calistoga!!! Can't wait!!! Oh and Brett Rollag had a flat........

Hey, thanks for the regards.  Hopefully Calistoga will go much better for the #3x team.  Maybe a Bugs Bunny foot would work? :D

That explains what happened to the #6r, I never saw it, but I did see Forsberg passing him on the outside just before that red.  Tough break for Brett...
