Would be grateful if someone can give me a quick update on what the Chili Bowl ticket (seat) prices were for January this year.

The CB website appears not to be publishing them for 2015 yet.

Specifically looking to find out the actual seat prices for each night and what additional price pit passes were. Or is there a combination price for both?

Thanks .... Peter

Just called the other day for tickets. I gave them my CC #  and they said they would charge my card on May 13 if I got tickets. Price was $529 for 2 seats. 2014 I went with a friend who had extra tickets. It was an extra $75 to get a wrist band that let me in the pits. That was good for all 5 nights. They told me they only sell 4 or 5 night tickets. My price was for 2 five night tickets.

I called back on March 4 to put my name on list for (4) 5 day passes.. I think lady said total was $1048 for tix.. But there is a $10 possessing fee.  Now I'm not sure if it's $10 per order or each sets of tix.. So total will $1058 or $1088..   Now the pit passes when buying reserved seats is $75 that covers all 5 days or $60 for 4 days like  Oswald posted above..  but there is a catch on getting the pit passes.. Ex. You buy 5 day passes & only planning on going to the pits on Friday & Saturday it'll only cost ya $30 extra for pit passes. But say you want to go to pits on Wednesday & Saturday. It cost ya $45 for Wednesday & $15 for Saturday on top of what you already spint on your reserved seats. So your better off turning the rest of tickets in spending an extra $60 ($15 per day) & getting arm band with your seat location on it so you have access to pits Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday..  Or don't pre order any tix and spend $45 each day that's gets you in but very lil first come  first serve seats off of turn 3..  It just depends on what yout fancy & liking is..

Just to clarify - what I understand is there is a $1 fee for each ticket put on a credit card.  Thus  - a 2 ticket set for 5 days would be a $10 processing fee for those 10 tickets.

Carol,  didn't see you at the Bowl this year.  Did you change seats?

Well I just got off the phone with the girl running the chili bowl, and aperantly they don't have the permit for the hall next year,so it's delaying ticket's.

They are trying to move it to the super dome in Texas since there's no super bowl there in 2015.

WOW.

If you have questions about Chili Bowl tickets, please call the office at 918-838-3777, Monday-Friday between 9:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. (CT) and talk with Staci or Shirley. We are renewing tickets for the 2015 event, but will put you on the list if you have not ordered tickets in the past.

Dates for the 2015 Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire are January 13-17, 2015.

Thank you,

Bryan Hulbert - Chili Bowl P.R.

Even though they race sprint cars at Indiana midget week every night,if you have to choose between Indiana or Illinois Midget week,Illinois wins hands down, both in presentation, and how they run the races off. Last yr I had friends from Maryland come out to Illinois midget week, bypassing  USAC's Eastern Storm right in their back yard, after I talked them into going to Macon one night the year before. I know they'll be back this year with more of their friends.

57 midgets at Macon last year, and that was the race of the year for myself and a few others. The year before that a race at Belle-Clair was the race of the year after seeing Rico Abreau spin while leading, then restart at the tail, and charge thru for the win. Luckily both of these tracks are on the Illinois midget week schedule this  year.

June 5th Jacksonville Il

June 6th Lincoln Il

June 7th Macon Il

June 8th Belleville Il

Mark those dates on your calendar....................

Here's another question fir newbies to the chili bowl.. Should I look into some sort of dust shield/respirator for the fumes.. I've been told that Saturday is kinds rough with so much racing.. I've looked into a 3m respirator from Lowes from the $30/$40 type down to the paper looking mask for a few bucks each... Any use as them?
