Last year I got their Season pass.  Had normal issue,  buffering, freezing having to log off and then back on.

This year their format has changed - Their Business, Their choice - I am just happy to see races - I thought.

I bought the Tulare race both nights.  Wanted to show my wife some of the race the next day - couldn't make it work.   No worriesI will send them an e-mail.  Here is what I sent them on their e-mail fom their website on the 19th.

"Good afternoon.  Last year I bought a season pass and was pleased with it.

I understand the business decision to change to a PPV per event this year.  I have tried to watch the replay of the Friday night show both Monday night and last night.  I wanted to show my Wife the non-wing show that she fell asleep for.  My questions are;

Neither night could I get very much of the show downloaded. (checked the speed of my connection using Speakeasy/Speedtest and had a great connection)

  1. Neither night would the replay go to full screen
  2. Is there a provision for fast forwarding to a portion of the broadcast, or do I need to wait for the whole show to download.

Thank you for any attention to these questions. Looking forward to many other shows on PPV, since I live in Georgia where open wheel is almost non-existent."

I have not heard from them, just logged on to my account and the replay is no longer available to me.  Too bad, I spend money going to races and I spend almost as much watching PPV races from the house.  Dirtvision has made it's last dollar from me for this year though.  Even though they may have a product that is limited, their lack of customer service and customer focus far outweighs that.

The good news is now I have more money to give to people like Shawn Buckley at http://jackslashmediainc.com/membership-account/membership-levels/

But, but, but, it would cost you sooo much more to actually go to the race than to sit at home and purchase a product with the reasonable expectation that it will work and that it's the same thing as being there.....

When you live in places like Ga., SE Va. or Hi. it would cost soooo much more. Not sure where your sarcasm was directed but online is the cost viable option for some of us for most of the race season.

Tom,

I feel your pain.  I'm also in Georgia (Gwinnett).. And for years have had to drive hundreds of miles to get my sprint car fix!  It was nice when the All Stars would make 2 ventures a year to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock) or in very fortunate years the WOO would make an appearance in the state. Now we only get the USCS for a few races with 10-12 cars and really only 3 competitive drivers.  I've lived off of Dirtvision, Xsan, Jackslash, and the Cushion For the last year and it's so disappointing the top tier Sprint org (WOO) utilizes a streaming service with the quality of a betamax (Dirtvision).  If they provided an hd offering, top tier customer service with a yearly subscription I'd gladly pay a few hundred dollars. Instead we get terrible streaming, limited replays, and not worth the money for the weekend events!  But for me.... I'm a sucker and will pay to get my fix..... So sad.

With the advanced capabilities available today, I am at a total loss to explain why WOO would continue it's affiliation with DIRTVISION.

DIRTVISION has consistently proven time and time again that they DO NOT obtain the necessary technical abilities needed to stream any live event of any satisfactory quality.

Why would WOO stick with this crappy service for so long? It's been crap from day one. All others have improved year after year. DIRTVISION has long blamed it's issues on poor track internet capabilities. Yet other services seem to not be bothered with such problems.

I can only guess as to why WOO doesn't dump DIRTVISION.

Either WOO is run by total morons, or DIRTVISION is owned by relatives of WOO.

Or both.

It's time to put your money where your mouth is!

I purchased a few shows earlier this year, but have officially given up. I've stopped buying the Dirt Vision product! I can follow along on twitter for free.

Btw, I have Verizon FIOS and a fresh computer... if the broadcast is going to work, it would work on my equipment.

Dirt Vision = Poor quality and high price

i also want to know why it seems it is not possible to listen to DV on my S4 mobile phone this year. i was able to last year.

why can't DV utilize an app for that, or at least use a player that is compatable?

I have an Iphone and the audio still works after the revamp of the site this year but the one downfall I've seen this year is it opens up a Quicktime player to play the audio now and if I close the webpage, which I do alot so I can open race monitor at the same time and listen to the audio and watch the timing both, now since the revamp when I close the web browser the audio stops and before it wouldn't. Not a huge deal but kind of inconvienent. What blows my mind with Dirtvision is that they redid the site, but didn't create a ios and droid App. I'm not real familiar with that world so maybe making an app is a bigger deal than I know but the company I work for makes apps for us to do our work just for us employees so I'm guessing it can't be that difficult.

As far as the comments about the relation between the WoO or WRG and Dirtvision, I could be wrong but I get the impression that Dirtvision was made by and is owned by the World Racing Group just for their racing series, thats why their never fired, its WRG own company. The bottom of the Dirtvision webpage says copyright World Racing Group. If the conversation by others about the relation was sarcasm before, I apologize for not getting it but reading the posts it seemed like many were talking about dirtvision like the WoO just has a contract with them to broadcast the races and they could be fired, so I just wanted to point out that what I understand they both have the same parent company, WRG.

So I just clicked on the dirtvision.com terms of use tab and the first sentence directly states that Dirtvision is owned by World Racing Group and used to broadcast the races of its series.

I will add to this conversation that I do appreciate that Dirtvision makes all the WoO audio available for free and I do listen often and do enjoy it, and always enjoy Johnny's call of the races, the day that the voice of the Outlaws changes will be a very strange one to get use to. Thanks to Johnny for all he does and also to Dirtvision for giving the free access to the audio.

It would definitely make more senese for the WRG tp outsource this to a business like xsan or the cushion to broadcast these events. Pay someone that knows exactly what they are doing, more people will pay the money to watch, popularity will grow, complaints will decrease, and the cost for someone like xsan will pay for itself.

If customer service is your number 1 priority I would think you' have your issues just menories of the past. I use all of the sprint car streaming services and yours remains the least reliable, and the worst visual quality. I claimed responsabilty for this in the past by continuing to subscribe even though little to no improvements were noticable year to year. I do enjoy the free audio stream though.

i also wonder why in this day of apps for everything, DV doesn't have one.

as far as being complicated to make an app, i really have no idea. i do know that it seems every third grader with an ipad is making one for something.

i would make one myself but alas...i'm not a third grader and i don't have an ipad. so so unfortunatly that is way above my skill level. Smile
