wow! what a night. more yellow and red lights than a smokey convention. our boy haud had to be in line for the hard charger award before even one lap was scored! jac went from inside of the 10th row to inside of the fourth row due to 2 yellows and 2 reds before they even got into single file starts. we got the front wing and hood and injector stacks and top wing destroyed in all that and 'ol haud went right back in for more thanks to good pit work from the wright one crew. bonz, paul and doug, with help from rick wright sr.& jr, ricks dad dick and yours truly patched the wright one redline oil maxim sled up the best we could. heck, even haud was out of the seat and thrashing too. to make a long story short from our point of view, jac had just got into 3rd past t-mac and was heading for saldana when the rear end erupted in flames. and he did it all with the front wing flipped back upside down and hung up on the down tubes on top of what was left of the hood! nedless to say we were done before lap 30 of the 40 lapper. tonight should really give 'ol bobby gerould and brad doty something to talk about during the espn2 telecast as i hear the fri. show will be the one they show on sun. speaking of gerould and doty they have sure been doing a heck of a job haven't they! they really work well together and it shows. talking with them both they say they are having a lot of fun working together. nice to see some sprint coverage on tv again no matter how much of it there is. oh yeah, this was just night one!
