Do these clips feature the same douche bag that you're asking us to feel sorry for?

It's tough for me personally to get past his arrogance. If life's lessons had humbled him in some way, shape, or form it would be much easier to give him a pass.

Unfortunately, he clearly thinks he's something special.

Sorry Henry. Barring some kind evidence of a complete recovery I'm with what I believe will be the majority on this one. It's very tough to watch this and it actually makes me sick to my stomach. He needs to get his shit together. I definitely don't need to have another person in my life - through racing or otherwise - who has killed someone while driving high on whatever. Been there once already and have no interest in doing it again. It doesn't make me feel better about myself to say it but Tyler and people in that situation need to get their shit together. The vast majority of the people I have gotten older with have gotten more responsible about our recreational behavior without something tragic having to occur. Shit like this happens and you still can't figure it out? Well sorry but the friendship ends there. Whatever it takes to accomplish it needs to be done and if putting things like this (which is public information) out there helps get the job done than so be it.

Addiction is a terrible insidious monster. That being said ; anybody can beat any addiction. You have to want to quit or it wont work period.  Im a full blown alcoholic and i just celebrated 1 yr sober and tabacco free . Quitting drinking sucked so bad i figured quitting smoking couldnt make it any worse(boy was i wrong). I dont recommend both at the same time but it can be done. Point is you can quit if you really want to.Thank God nothing terrible happened in my life, just my 16 yr old daughter telling me she was tired of me being drunk.  I do not enjoy watching people crash and burn so to speak. Ive been to the bottom and it isnt pretty there. Good luck Tyler.

dirt...congrats on your sobriety.  I hope you can continue with it.  I have a daughter who got "bit" by that but she was able to beat it and just got her 5 year button!

why is it, everytime t-dubya runs into a defining moment "in his career" it is more like a Jerry Springer show than an actual achievement?

It is people like you who enable him.  Hopefully he will start hanging around with the right crowd.

I wasn't defending Tyler's actions at all in my reply to red, yellow. I've supported Tyler in the past too many times to count. Eventually-just like you-I move on as I don't need to constantly excuse someones shitty behavior. A couple pecker steps I can waive a pass on but clearly he is one messed up dude who needs clinical help not enablers. I stand by what I said about this troll red, yellow. Nothing I read posted from this twat makes me believe he is anything more than a loser piece of shit. I'd say that is the feeling of the vast majority here.

Cheers!

Tyler is Tyler, been livin on the edge for years, sprint cars were made for him and he has thrilled every damn one of us in here.  Sure he has some issues, who doesn't?  Everything he has ever done was at a level far different than most of us, haters will hate that's not gonna change.  I just hope my old buddy slows things down to our pace but sadly I don't know if that will happen, I truly wish him well no matter what path he travels....

If you put all Tyler`s troubles aside, He was always fun to talk to in the pits.  Generally a nice guy who has some demons.  I too hope he gets his shit together, and can put this behind him.  He may never get behind the wheel of sprint car again, but he sure was fun to watch back in the day! He was doing back flips long before Carl Edwards was.
