Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on quick time and winning the feature. The WoO do put quite a bit of emphasis on qualifying and bonus points for top 5 fastest times. What I don't think is right is that you could win a feature race and still lose points in the same night if you were not quick time and quick time finished 2nd. Although I do realize this very rarely happens I still think it's wrong. I feel winning a 35 lap feature is quite more of accomplishment then having the fastest one lap around the track. What is others thoughts on this? (And I'm not saying the WoO should change their points system all i'm looking for is what others think about it)

The WoO did recently change how their points are allocated to address that problem. The winner of the feature now gets 152 points.

I think they call it the "Schatz" rule!"
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM

YOU'RE COLD?"

Me I would not give points for Qualifing , 1 point per car in the heats. If one heat has 9 cars get 9 points down by 1 point per car in all heats. Dash would get 10 points down to 1 for last. Then the main winner would get 100 points down by 2 per posistion. That way making the dash and winning would get you extra points. Top 2 in the heats and the the next 2 drivers on time not being first or second in there heat.

I agree heat race points would be fun to see but I still think they should keep the qualifying points. And keep the points away from the dash since the line-up for that is determined by the draw of a ping pong ball.

True, but McMahan is still ahead of Schatz with 1 win & 4 Top 5s compared to Schatz 2 & 6. McMahan is ahead 3 to zero in fast times & also ahead in Top 10s.
Not sure of the solution, but I think wins should count more than qualifying..... cutfast time pts. to 4?

Heat points would be a great idea, at least a couple to the winner so the front row stops just settling in and tucking behind each other 1st and 2nd. Keep the qualifying points though so people don't sandbag in qualifying to get up front in the heat, especially in smaller fields.
