Track bad after the tide washed in. Jimmy did his best to fix it. Big holes in turn 2 made for rough going, cars flying. Big crowd enjoying the show. Inder classes very entertaining with lots of high jinx. Adding to the fun, Jimmy in rare form with snappy bonmots and funny commentary. Hoby and Rick Hendrix tangled and both ended bad side up.  Weather perfect. Judging by the squealing and antics of the rug rats, the crowd had a damn good time. Had to listen to the whining of the hard core sprint car dorks over low car count and track conditions.

I for one had a great time. Sure was more fun than all those Saturdays sitting at home listening to Prairie Home Companion. Hey, I love Garrison, but much prefer a race track, even if the the show is not so great.

11 Cars.

Taylor had Mechanical problems, or pulled off because he signed up for a race not a rodeo...

Woodward lost the floorpan pushing off and came from last to second. Kyle Smith got out front and held onto it. Hobie Conway won her heat and had gotten up to second before Hendrix and the bumps turned both of them over. Tom Hendricks was pretty fast and McCormick consistent.

Cliff Warren won seniors going away, the track took a lot of them out too. Ed Schwartz tried every line on the track, below the bumps, above the bumps and through the trenches but just couldnt get to him.

Jim Naylor looked like he was having a great time, he did all he could to make the track not suck and rolled with it when he couldn't. For a horrible track, it was actually a really fun night with a big crowd and a lot of sniling faces.

There are 2 kinds of people; whiners and boosters. I consider myself of the latter variety. Whiners are like ants at a picnic, they try to bum one out with their negative attitude. When I go to a show, racing or ballet, I am determined to enjoy it, good bad or indifferant.

BTW Perris is a great track and the racing is allways top notch. My only beef is the maximum security attitude displayed by the security force. Was at Tulare last weekend and the only security was at the pit gate and in the stands to keep people off the fence.

BTW2 Bakersfield is running the West Coast shoes Sat. They put on a good show at Tulare with Howell taking the win over Richard Vaderweerd. Tempted to go up, but had such a good time at Jimmies joint last time, guess I'll wander up the 101.

Rob I would put money on Dave not showing at the PAS for the WoO show. The day before ( Friday) Hanford has the outlaws and a lot of KWS will probably show there. Then Saturday the KWS open at Tulare while the outlaws come to the PAS. Pretty sure Dave will be at Tulare.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

That was the plan, but have seen enough of Outlaws. Saw 2 shows at tulare and frankly the West Coast Sprints was the best show. WoO was long on hype and BS, short on racing. 31 cars both nites, ran 3 heats. Noticed CRA had same number of cars but ran 4 heats. Guess WoO wanted to save time for all the hype.

Will go to KoW at Tulare on the 12th. Plan to stop at LeMoore micro track on the way to watch future hotshoes

15 Cars last night.

Hendricks held the lead challenged all thirty by Camarillo and then Hendrix.

Gansen was a little wild on the setup, McCormick and Woodward had a spirited battle for the minor placings with Woodward voicing displeasure in being run into so many times after the race.

Brian Brown held off Cliff Warren in the seniors (6 Cars). Chris Meredith climbed Wally's wheel and flipped in the senior feature. Went red, Chris is a bit sore but ok.

IMCA race was really good... 21 IMCA cars, not a yellow filled main.

Done at 10pm.

Track was awesome. Could have run another main but we ran out of classes.

Hendricks and Hendrix, 1 and 2. Sounds like a law firm. B. Camadillo back, still fast. Ganson also fast, but only one of them.

Jimmie's comments kept us laughing.

Air conditioning set on high, bring my ski parka next week.

Kids went bananas doing the YMCA dance.

Hey Buzzard, It was Gansen that turned Woodward around, then he turned Camarillo around. Then sent to the back for that.

Woodward then passed to 3rd, then ran into McCormick many times  after the race was over.

Some drivers will never grow up or be happy.

It was a great track, great racing !
