I'm still supporting him. He had a bad night, made a couple of rookie errors but next week is another race. Go out west and start again.

I will say, at least he wasn't the rookie that took out half the field (including his own team mate)

All you Larson bashers are quick to bad mouth him after one race but yet continue to support Danica after a whole season of failures. Wouldn't surprise me if he finished the year higher in the standings than Danica. He has more talent, whether or not he has the equipment remains to be seen.

I am not a Larson basher, I just don't think he is as GREAT as some of you are making him out to be!!! He does have talant, but when you rank in with Tony Stewart,A J Foyt, Richard Petty.... I am sorry, he is not in the same class as any of those three!!! Not yet anyway!!
I have never supported Danica!! She is just a marketing tool fpr NASCRAP at this point!!

The kid is the real deal and everyone ibn the garage seems to agree. There was an article a few months back with Jeff Gordon where he said one of his biggst regrets is not being abkle to get Larson in a Hendrick car. Quite honestly, he prob. would have been thei heir to the 24 car when Jeff decides to hang it up and still might be going forward ig the time is right. Jeff said he brought him in on his reccomendation and sat him with Hendrick and they negotiated for days...just that they didnt have a Cup car for him and that he chose the 42 on those reasons. Said it was the biggest let down yet..not being able to lock him up. If a guy like Jeff beleives in him..I think its quite real that most of the others do too.

My biggest fear is that Larson will become a hasbeen drive in the 42!! That car just never seems to have it!!! Driver talant will only take you so far!!!

Now that right there I agree with. I just see that team as a second tier team compared to some of the others in the garage. I wouldn't put them with a Hendrick, RCR, Gibbs, Roush, Stewart-Hass, Penske. I would put them on the same lines as Richard Petty Motorsports, Turner Scott, etc. I have always seen that team to race competitive but as for being a serious threat to win each week, it has not really been the case. Hopefully Larson can do something with the equipment.

Larson made a mistake early, fought hard all day to get the laps back. Got in the lucky dog position and was wrecked by Dillon. He was running in the lead pack and the speeds were good.

exactly.
the early mistake got him behind and even though he got a lap back before the rain, he wasn't in a position to get his other lap back until later in the race. then when he was in the lucky dog spot he got wrecked by austin dickhead.
i see why pop pop put austin in the number three, 3 means the number of wrecks he caused. he hit everything but his marks.

I do agree with the fact that the 42 team is not one you would think of as a week to week contender.
Last night Kyle was put a lao down because they could not figure out thier pit strategy after 6 hours of doing nothing.
That is tuff to make up so putting your driver in that position is just unbelievable at that level.

the gannassi team might not be one of the top ranked teams, but they have shown they have the ability to run up front. jamie mac won daytona and the brickyard in the same season and JPM had the brickyerd in his grasp two years in a row but blew it.
seems like that team is the way kyle needed to go to get into cup without having to wait an indefinite length of time for a ride to open for him on another team in cup. kyle is getting good experience that will help him advance in the sport.
some people seem to think just because he is signed with gannassi that he is stuck there.

But he made well over 300 grand for finishing way back, more than twice what Schatz won at K-ville.

actually the money the car earned goes to the owner, not the driver. the owner pays his employees.
but i am sure you know that.
still i can't believe the people i meet who continue to argue the posted prize money that is won is what the driver makes, just because his name is listed next to the car number.
