What a mess. An estimated 50 cars in the water, 20 construction workers in the river, cars and trucks on fire and crushed under concrete. My son crossed that bridge not long before it went over.

Zoch, are you alright buddy? Last I heard you were living up in Northeast and would take 35w anytime you head south. That's the main north/south route through downtown Minneapolis. It looks like something that you'd see in an earthquake.

Justin is safe in Iowa and watching the coverage from the Dingus.

This whole thing is just surreal. Hope everyone with friends and family in the twin cities is safe and doing okay.

from what I see there are 58 injuries. AS of right now that may be 58 that somehow made it through that. tragic doesn't even describe what I'm seeing on tv. Not sure anything does.

They said there have been structural cracks in the bridge. If so they shouldn't have kept it open while they worked on it. But had they closed it down then travelers and etc. woulda been callin for someone's head.

I hope for such a disaster the casualties are comparatively low.

My little brother lives in Minneapolis now and when I heard the news shortly after it happened I called to check on him. He told me that about 4:30 this afternoon he crossed over the bridge. He said that he would have been there right about the time of the collapse if his plans hadn't ended early. My heart stopped. Please pray for all of the people that were touched by this terrible turn of events.

My brother lives in the cities also. I live in southwest Minnesota. Sad deal!

Has anyone heard from Joe (Pincushion)? I know he works somewhere out that way, not sure what route he takes but I would like to hear that he and his wife are okay.
