I got a text last night that Matt Van Hoecke had passed away recently. Hoping it's not the case but I can't find any information one way or another.

Very sorry to hear this. Matt was one of the nicest, kindest, funniest, and salt of the earth people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Rest in peace Matt.

He was one of our first sponsors and he was at the first awards banquet in Stockton to celebrate our first season which was 1991. Such a great guy.....
