Got this message from a pal from South Dakota. I had sent hima message whining about how we were suffering from the awful heat here in SoCal.LOL

I know how much you hate to hear me complain, but....We drove to Tulsa from cold S Dakota. The roads were perfect. We have been watching about 280 (give or take a few) midgets run. The race track has been kept in wonderful condition. Strolling the pits everyday seeing old friends and making new ones is just so much hard work and boring. Its also boring to see some of guys like Kahne etc. come back and run dirt like they did when they started their careers. The skill level of the drivers is amazing. Sure would be nice to see a bunch of junkers rather than nice equipment and good drivers. We sit around the motel early morning and shoot the shit about racing with the other racers and promoters who are staying here also. We have had no snow or ice here as we have had in the past. We will drive home also on dry roads. It is usually more fun to drive on crap roads. As you can see, we are just having a horrible time. You are the smart one. Not leaving your home state racing to see this such boring event. I wish you well
