DOES ANYONE HAVE LATE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE TWO MIDGETS SPONSORED BY OKLAHOMA UNIVERSITY. IT WAS ANOUNCED A FEW MONTHS BACK THAT THEY WOULD BE AT THE CHILI BOWL HOWEVER I DON'T SEE THAT THEY ARE LISTED AS ENTERING YET.

think they found out what it cost/takes to run a Midget Team.
could'nt find the $$$ to do it.

It was kind of a neat story but the $... I wonder if someone from the business school with an accounting background got involved lol. The marketing people thought they had a clever story to sell. Not so much in reality.
If you were buying new stuff... conservatively that's $80k for 2 new Esslinger units. 2 rollers with spares... we've got to be over $125k total. Need something to haul your stuff? Like a hauler? $$$
Wow... hard to believe no one came forward with a check for $150k to enter 2 drivers relatively unknown to 95% of America that likely will "win" $200 between the 2 of them for a couple of nights at the Chili Bowl.
Buying used stuff & getting corresponding results would have made sense... but how many people walked forward with $25-50k sponsorship cash? I doubt many.
It's a shame... and there are lots of deserving folks that don't make it to the track, either. Racing ain't cheap. Never has been & never will be.
