I was listening to the race Sat. night. I was glad to hear Dobmeier won, but I was simply amazed. I have never listened to a race or attended a race when someone loses car parts, causes the yellow (it was announced that way) and you are the leader and you win the race. Simply amazing. Good run for the 13 team.

I wondered about that myself. He lost the torsion arm and bar. Must not be in the rules anymore.

Maybe it was an "unintended yellow"???????? I hear those are pretty common at Knoxville.........

This was discussed quite awhile back when a top wing side board came off and landed on the track. I think it must have been changed 3 years or so ago that it no longer relegates you to the back. We found Zomer's 3 push off's to try and get a time in much more "strange." Didn't fire in his drawn slot ... didn't fire for his one lap at the end, pulled it into the pits killed around another 95 seconds working on it and was pushed off for a third time. Again it didn't start, but that seemed to be pretty odd to have 3 attempts in one night.

Yeah, it seemed like over five minutes waiting on Zomer to get a lap in. I thought once time trials had been completed and you weren't out there, you were done. Oh well, trying to make that points race interesting I guess.

I would really like to see Zomer win points this year! He deserves it more than any of the others.

This is kinda off subject. I remember when i was in Terre Haute. Wood was driving the 6 car. On his warm up lap in qual. he lost his Torsion arm and bar in turn 4 from I think the RF. He ended up with Quick time. The only one of the year I think. Other crews were came over to rib on them for losing parts and being fast. That maybe they should take off parts for the feature.

I'm with ya jackhole22 .... when Bokhovenn announced the arm and stop was off the leader # 13 I turned to the rest of the fellows and said "Well ..this just became a became a Brian Brown benefit" I swear Dobmeier was faster after the yellow than before, I mean he flat left the 21 in the "no" dust and checked out.

I do agree it sounded like Dobmeier checked out after the yellow, but I beg to differ on Zomer "deserving" the points race more than any of the others. I am not necessarily a Brian Brown fan, but I feel he probably deserves it more than Zomer, i.e. 5 wins this year up there and 5 points out last year. His car owners deserve that extra $10,000.00 at the banquet.

Brown definitely has been at it a long time too. I just dont like his personality at all so I really dont want him to win it, but I do like the owners.

What are you sniffing glue? Brian Brown has been a rocket all season-- up until sat Zomer had been steady eddie --but Brownie sells tickets and that dude has balls

He is still as phony as they come! If you don't have something he needs, he don't need you! Its all about Brian Brown. " I TELL YOU WHAT" How many times can you say that in an interview!
