Before the announcement I had never heard of justin marks. After doing some researcher on the web, I don't see a connection with him and sprint cars.
is the go kart track that he owns the one that Larson would race at midweek during the summer?

Not sure what the official connection is, but I noticed they are both under the same sports management company ... http://www.spiresportsinc.com/client-roster

He's done quite a bit of sports car racing and some NASCAR racing. He owns the Mooresville Motorplex (now the GoPro Motorplex) that Larson and multiple NASCAR stars race go karts at. I'm thinking GoPro might be a sponsor of the car due to Mr. Marks wearing a GoPro hat during the announcement and their sponsorship of his karting track. I suppose him and Larson became friends and Justin Marks saw this as a good business opportunity, but I'm just guessing. Can't wait to see what happens next year!
