Dang, I hope that isn't the 'sprint car' Kurt, he was always good for an off the wall comment or three. I'm thinking the racing Kurt is a bit younger, got my fingers crossed....

Off the wall comments are correct. Only when his meds are adhered to, does he have something to say that can be interpreted.

As far as I know, according to some of his posts elsewhere, he raced down under for someone within the last year. Might be fantasy, I don't know. I am under the impression that people in the IRA area know not to touch him with a 10 foot pole. Sad deal, had a lot of talent.....

New Ulm is a town in south central Minnesota. IRA Kurt was from Wisconsin and I would guess a little younger than the gentleman that passed away in New Ulm.

Correct Ellenberger races now and again in Western PA, mainly at Lernerville.

anyone have an idea of what happened to eric stanbaugh from out in pa. ran a silver #4. remember watching 2006 or 2007 racing in pa mountains tape and then never saw him racing on tape after that.

i was wondering about him myself the other day. I do know the silver Swopes 4 became the Swopes 71 that Leppo drove until Swope retired. Not sure what happened to Eric Stambaugh though after he left racing the 4 never got a ride after that.
