Nobody asked, but I'm throwing it our there, what ever happened to the following Racers?

Sid Blanford

Dave Freed

Andy Hillenburg

Bert & Bridgette

Rodney Duncan

Van Gurley Jr.

Blake Feese (Witnessed at Atomic a few weeks back)

with the exception of Blake Feese, I believe they all retired from racing (some due to funds, others due to personal reasons, and others due to age).

Blake seems to still be trying to make it in NASCAR, although he doesn't come from $$$, so I find it hard to believe that he'll find a ride down there anytime soon (unless he finds a sponsor himself).

It took over a decade to figure out who the guy running the convience store I trade at was. Years ago when I was wrenching full time, Daniel Coggeshell and I had a brief run. We were two different personalities and parted soon after. One day years and miles later I saw Daniel's gator with his name on it when he was doing some work around the store. About fell over when after all these years and now in SW Mo. we're crossing paths again. Small planet for sure. Hard to get him to talk about racing or anything other than his wonderful family, to which they deserve. Great people here from Iowa years later. Steve.

I believe Rodney Duncan is helping his son Cole.  Speaking of Bobby Davis Jr., how is he not in the Sprint Car Hall of Fame?

I believe Andy Hillenburg owns Rockingham Speedway now.

I always though Lance Blevins was going to be a future WoO champ like Schatz ended up being. I have no idea why he quit or what he does now but it's too bad for the fans he doesn't race anymore. He was a lot of fun to watch.

I know most of these are retired from racing, as we haven't seen them for some time.

The story about Daniel Coggeshell was what I was hoping to find. I can recall him running with the All Stars in the mid-90's and his black No 3. Lance Blevins in the Citgo 21 and Rodney Duncan locally as well.

I don't know what's become of most of these people, retired or having given up with racing, are they involved in anyway or moved on in life to a higher calling, like family for Daniel, good for him.

These guys provided us all a source of entertainment over the years and it's fun to relive some of these moments thru story telling on here.

We can all think of someone who's no longer in the sport and a story about their racing or after-racnig life.

Gurley run a Audi dealership.

hopefully the year they put Mark Kinse in the HOF he will make an apperance at the nationals.

I believe that Andy moved up in the family business.  Hillenburg Industries, Broken Arrow OK.

Rocky Hodges?

Neon Dion's family owns Albququerque Cab Company.   I know that in the past he would help out in the off seasons with the family business.  

My guess is that he is now involved with the family business, but this is only a guess.

heres a few from long ago and not so long ago,   Lee Brewer, Aaron Berryhill,      Jeremy Cambell,Zack Chappell,Brian Carlson,Brian Elenburger,Toni Lutar,Chad Hillier, im assuming some of these are still racing somewhere near thier home tracks?

Hillier was racing the Trophy Cup this past weekend. Think he still runs Skagit weekly.
