Not surprised, but I can assure you he wants to win this more for Rob Sell than Fred Rahmer. This was a guy that won a WoO race at the Grove last May and was basically told he was washed up 3 months later. Sell gave him a ride when the rest of the country, including a lot of people in PA, wondered if he could still perform. What he did the last 20 laps of Saturday night was an ass kicking. The gap between 1st and 2nd was still growing while he was in lap traffic and 2nd place was in clean air. They could have run that race another 40 laps and without a mechanical failure, it wouldn't have mattered. He may not be Fred Rahmer from 20 years ago, but he's still one of the best and will be remembered as such. There is no more pressure, he's already won this championship 10 times,

Fred Rahmer at the Knoxville Nationals. How cool would it be to retire after winning your last race ? All the best to Fast Freddie and his family on his retirement.

Everyone on this board must have a big fifth wheel out in their driveway considering how much they like the biggest camper in history.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I would be more than thrilled to see him @ SSP in November...I have not done the math, but he has to be up there in the season long SSP Championship as well... :/
Opinions may vary...

and yesterday on winged nation he stated he would finish out the season. He also said if he doesnt win the Grove title someone else does and he dont wanna let that happen. Someone did a post race interview with Debbie Saturday night after they talked to Fred, and she said "Oh He better get off his high horse because he is racing next Friday Night, and his Tribute race on the 19th at Lincoln" I never had any doubt that he wouldn't finish the season.. Just like I never thought he was washed up. I knew it was the car and team he was with.
