now now, no need to do anything crazy.. some of us on here understand you could have looked for your answer anywhere on the net but here, but, in a time where racing season is winding down, and we all become jelouse of our Aussie friends enjoying OUR sport, this is the best question on the board today, Besides that Shot of Stevie was taken where? WG? car looks evil dropped on the left rail, those are my favorite shots!

If you mean the first one with the checkered flag on the hood no, concrete wall and dirt's too black...I almost thought Eldora but the wall is too far away, crowd too close, and too flat, LOL

Doesn't Lima have a concrete wall?

I was pretty confident it was not WG, BUT, everytime I see a car down on the rail I think of WG, soo many nice action shots taken at that place over the years.   so where was it? agreed, definetly not Eldora, its somewhere big, lotsa wingspeed, As racers its intersting to try pick out a track simply by the specs of a photo, I have visited with a couple photographers and it makes them feel good when I can tell them the story behind thier pic of my car, how well we ran,or how poor, the amount of mud on the car, how  we qualified, what might have been broken the night before, simple nerf bars, hubs, arms ect can be picked out in a photo and the story is released, I remember a Dzus clip coming undone on my hood one night , I complained to the crew it kept floating up in front of me at the end of the straits, sure enuff, the track photographer had a shot at the end of the strait, and I could now show them the terrible time to loose more vission across the hood. car was working great, I just couldnt see a dam thing. intresting..

I don't claim to know where any of these pictures were taken (except the one at Knoxville obvously) but I love the fact that there are some places that if you have been around awhile you can look at a picture and go "thats......". When I used to take pictures there was one spot - just one - that you could shoot at where people who raced there weekly weren't sure where the picture was taken. San Jose Speedway had this high white sound wall pretty much all the way around it except the front stretch. So pretty much any picture taken there you knew where it was. But there was one spot in turn four that if you shot at the right angle and hit it just right you wouldn't catch the sound wall, the fence, or the tractor tires that would make it easy to identify where it was shot. There were trees in the background so it made it looke more like Watsonville. Even stumped guys like Rick Martin and Randy Hannagan who practically grew up there. That was pretty fun. It also usually caused them to buy the picture :-).

The top shot of Stevie dropped down on the rails was taken at Grandview Speedway here in Pa.

cool, thanks, nice pic to the camera man that captured that shot, nice work, I love it.  I was going to reply earlier on photos taken at my local track i personnally have had to stop and look at several times and try picture the background , in some shots,  large tall trees are present, with quite impressive banking, I couldnt put my finger on where the shot was taken?, after closely running thro frames in mind it turns out the shots were taken at my local home track I have turned hundreds of laps at, funney how a photographer can find a shot that makes things difficult to recognize, as much as one can make a shot difficult to identify, I like to tell the photographer the story behind the night he or she might have taken that "click".. they usually are equally impressed so much can be observed by just one picture..  good stuff here.

The question should be who will be in that car next year?

I knew that might come up?  I couldnt disagree with Stevie being a good candidate and equally fit, but for Joeys sake I hope he starts to move forward soon in the 71m..

Not on a big track at all. Grandview Speedway is only a Little Old 1/3 mile High banked bullring. The Sprints only run there a few time a year. They run the Modifieds there on a weekly basis.

I have a problem with people who are mean spirited jerks who go after and put down people who post on here for no apparent reason and I sleep just fine after calling them out.

Unlike some, I don't have a problem with letting people know who I am or where I'll be at the track and I'm looking forward to seeing both old and hopefully some new friends at the Hall of Fame and Western World coming up at Canyon http://www.canyonspeedwaypark.com/ If any of you guy's show up, give me a holler.

really, huh, just goes to show how the images on a picture can be so far from ones interpretation, judging by the language in the chassis it looks like it is carrying alot of speed, either way, (slow or go) cool shot!
