Dang, where's the love for Bobby Allen? I think Fred or Stevie Smith have been your most successful drivers along with Mr. Allen. On top of their driving ability they are also great guys as well and good with the fans. My knowledge is relevant to the last 25 years only....

Paxton gets my vote...retired way too young...but plenty of others are on the podium.

Tough to compare drivers from different eras but Dewease, Hodnett and Rahmer are defeinitely tops from the past couple decades. I personally wouldn't count Wolfgang because he only raced central PA for 3 years and a lot of that time was spent on the road, but otherwise, he's without a doubt the best to ever wheel a posse car, except for maybe Opperman who was before my time. Lynn Paxton, Steve Smith, Stevie Smith, Mitch Smith, Kenny Weld, Bobby Allen, Donnie Kreitz, Smokey Snellbaker should about cover it.

Rahmer is the most accomplished. The best pure driver? I can't narrow that down below 10 names.

Ray Tilley, founder of the posse, the reason why many of the greats came to PA, basically unbeatable at times...Pat Cooper a distant second
