I was looking at the NSCS points earlier today and could have swore I seen BK's name in the top 3. Now tonight I check the points at the same web site and see nothing of his points. Yet it still has his recent finishes listed with them. Anyone know why this could be?

I was under the impression that to get points a driver had to be a member and had to be using an ASCS engine. Since I don't believe Brent is using an ASCS engine, that could be the reason why his name isn't in the points.
I was actually wondering why he was listed in the points this morning. I think it might have been a mistake and it's now correct.

Yeah rather that running a ASCS motor he's running a restricter and the NSCS rules say you get no points.

Does this mean the same thing with the payout? I would think so since the question is in the motor. Wouldnt Brent be more aware of this situation? And if he just found out about this, does this mean he will be in Chico friday and saturday? We need to have Allard report back to as of the ware abouts of MR BK. Gary if BK comes back this weekend all these questions would be a good thing to ask at Chico.

I believe it has always been the intent of BK & team to only run the midweek races and come back to Chico for the GSC final.
If he received no points for speedweek the only thing he would miss out on is a chance at the $2500 for speedweek champion. Since he is not racing the final two nights I don't see that being much of an issue.

Brent still gets paid the prize money each night for finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd this week, per NSCS rules. He just doesn't get points, whether it be Speed Week points or season points.
