Last night’s “Night before the Nationals” added 2 more drivers to be guaranteed a starting spot in the Saturday night finale. Randy Hannagan and Bryan Howland each scored 15 lap A main Friday qualifier wins. Shane Stewart had previously locked himself into the finale by winning the Summer Nationals held in late July at the speedway.
Tonight’s racing program has lots of sprint car racing with Sprint Group Qualifying beginning at approx 6:00pm EST. Followed by (6) sprint heats, (3) B Mains, the Little Feature, the Heat Winners Dash and the 35 Lap A Main.
Quebec driver and defending champ Steve Poirier will be trying to get a hold of another big check, but can he fend off regional stars like Jim Huppunen, Dustin Daggett and Glenn Styres and outsiders like Shane Stewart, Randy Hannagan and Wayne Johnson for a repeat win.
