In case you haven't heard--Jeff Gordon added to the Chase--but get this--as a 13th entry! Why wasn't Logano removed by a 50 pt. penalty? (assuming this would remove him.?--maybe not) How would you like to be Truex? You were indirectly involved and got booted. Then, they leave two drivers that are directly involved with the conspiracy (bowyer and Logano) in the Chase. Nascar did the right thing--kind of. Gordon should definitely be in. Don't know who to remove, but should only be 12 allowed.
More fuel for why people absolutely hate the chase. I understand the concept--top NFL team doesn't win every year--they have a playoff month--I get it. But, there needs to be a little more thought into this if they are not going to run a marathon points total. JMO

taking 50 point from logano would have taken him out and put gordon in. nascar penalized the whole MWR organization, they should have done the same to penske and front row because they did the same thing as the 55.....and they started the process before the 15 spun and the 55 pitted. the 22 and the 38 were going to give logano the positon no matter what MWR ended up doing.
so you had 3 teams doing the same thing (trying to help the 22 get in on points) all at the same time, and only one team gets fined points? BS!
if nascar would have followed the protocol they put in place earlier in the week, logano should be out and gordon in.
to indy and beyond!!

The CHASE still sucks......This only shows that NASCAR NEEDS to remove the chase and let em REALLY have at it. JMO

I wish Jeff the best but the odds are against him. He's the 13th driver in the chase , he's 13th in points and he was put in the chase on Friday the 13th. Kinda makes ya go hmmmmmm.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

All they did was open up that in the future they have to add more than twelve to the chase. Bad decission.

At least we can't say that there's no crying in racing... :/
Opinions may vary...

Seems like everyone is in agreement. Now--wouldn't that be something if Gordon got hot and won number 5? He has been running good enough the last two years--if the misfortune he has been having the last two years were to turn to fortune, he would win the Cup by 30 points!
I want it to happen just to stir the $hitpot!

Gordon is no different then Logano or Truex. Johnson and Jr both tanked the race for their teamates, Gordon just wasn't good enough to take advantage of it.

Disagree. Jimmie did nothing of any value for the 24 or 5. He finished behind everyone involved. No points gained unless he finishes ahead of the cars in question and behind the 5 and 24. Jr. finished 13th. I would think that would be about his average career finish anywhere.
Now on a different subject--just listened to the audio from Gilliland's car. If Truex Jr. is out--Logano should be out for sure. As a matter of fact, if they had to choose between the two, I would say Logano is out. More damning evidence from this transmission than from MWR radio, IMO.

Nothin to do with the 13th stuff, he's just been stinkin up the show the last few years anyway. And the way to stop all this team manipulation of the points is just take away ALL the radios, get rid of the spotters, go back to pit boards, give them a fuel gauge and a rear view mirror and them let them JUST RACE!!!!
REMEMBER OUR TROOPS!!!

What exactly was illegal in this whole fiasco? This whole thing is hilarious and has made and even bigger mockery out of an already WWF image FRANCECAR has been getting over the past 25 years. "Actions detrimental to stock car racing." is a stupid rule and can be construed as using cheater parts, or picking your nose during a live broadcast. The drivers/teams found a way to exploit flaws in "The Chase" for an advantage. FRANCECAR needs to just lick their wounds and move on. For me, they just lost what little credibility they had left.

What`s all this BS about napcar I thought this was about sprint cars and what sprint car fans like to do, I don`t care what they do with there "CHASE" will not watch it... don`t give a rats ass who wins... I DON`T CARE. I think I would rather go to Wal-Mart and spend the day there with my wife.

You knew NASCAR would stay awake nights scheming to add Hendrick and Gordon. The Chase was always inappropriate and now it is a joke.

They did exactly what I said they should do on the other thread, simply add him to the chase. I wrote,
"Simple.... Don't remove anyone, just add Gordon to the chase".
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

First off, I didnt think anyone on here liked or watched NASCAR? How is it that you are all so informed and have an opinion?
I like Truex but his organization (MWR) started this whole fiasco with the Bowyer spin and Vickers pitting. Sure, he says he
didn't have any idea about the whole scheme. All he did was drive his tail off. So far, everyone from MWR with the exception
of Ty Norris has been lying through their teeth this week. What makes you believe Truex is completely innocent? He is
being penalized because of what his organization did. If he doesn't agree with their morals, maybe he should look to race
elsewhere.
I want to know what changed from Mondays press conference when Mike Helton said Jeff Gordon couldn't be allowed back
in the Chase due to the "ripple effect" and Fridays news? He's a victim of a missed call by NASCAR. In the MLB, Andres
Galarraga didnt get his Perfect Game back after Jim Joyce's blown call in the 9th inning 4 years ago. Things happen. You
can't just alter the rules out of compassion.
