The title is really my question.  From a detail or just functional point of view, what is the difference in performance that can be expected from an old car like a 2000 vs. a very late.  The conditions are 1/5 to 1/4 mile dirt, 360 engine, non-wing.  Would not the set up including shocks dominate the equation?

Thanks very much for your thoughts.

John

If the old chassis is straight and you get the right set-up under it you won't see a nickles bit of difference in the 2 frames in your application.

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.
