Jason Statler charges back to 8th at Ocean Speedway

Watsonville, CA - July 23, 2007... After charging up to the top five Friday night at Watsonville’s Ocean Speedway, Los Gatos driver Jason Statler was forced to go to the rear after getting a flat tire. He worked hard though, kept at it and got back to an eighth place finish by the end of the 30 lap feature.
The top 10 finish helped Jason remain fifth in the Golden State Challenge Series point standings heading into the final weekend of action. Jason will bring the DF Rios Construction, Pheasant Run Shopping Center, YAK Graphics 00 into Chico for the final two night’s of GSC competition this Friday and Saturday.
"The Big Guy" will be looking to put the Double Zero into victory lane and he’ll have more incentive to do so with a big $1,000 bonus being put up to the driver that scores the most points during the weekend. The money is being put up by Mike & Carol McCann of Cherry St. Mini Storage and it will certainly give drivers a reason to drive just a bit harder during the weekend.
