Now that KL has Target as a Cup sponsor do you think he will be able to bring them to sprints like Tony Stewart and KK were able to do with their Cup sponsors? I think it would be good for the sport and it may even get the evil empire (Walmart) interested if KL can get Target to make the leap.

I think you will need to give him some time. You don't sign to drive in the "big show" and then turn to your sponsor and say, "Oh, by the way, I need $1M to start a sprint car team."
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM
"PUT YOUR SWEATER ON: DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW WHEN
YOU'RE COLD?"

People do tend to get carried away about Yung Money, don't they? But its reasonable to think it might happen eventually....

I betcha Chip has a clause in the contract that stops his drivers from soliciting Target/Energizer/Big Red/McDonalds, etc for extra curricular money... No way in hell does Chip let half a million dollars of targets race sponsorship budget go somewhere other than his cup or Indycar teams.
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

I'm not a Larson fanboy and I wasn't expecting him to have a press conf announcing his new team sponsored by Target, I was just curious if others thought he could parlay cup sponsorship into a sprint car sponsor.

A half million for Target is a tiny drop in a big bucket. If Larson does well in Cup, he won't have to sell himself too hard to get sponsors for himself or his race teams. Plus, who says Target has to sponsor Larson's teams? Stewart's USAC teams were MOPAR-backed when he was running a Pontiac and Chevrolet in Cup and Chevy-backed when he was running a Toyota. Chances are a company will want to attach their name on KLR cars regardless of who his Cup sponsors are.

Look for Kyle Larsens sprint and midget racing come to almost a halt. He will be expected to give NASCAR 100% of his time.

I think you're probably closer to the reality of what will happen on this one.

Target is not new to racing. They have been sponsors in Indy cars for maybe 30 years.
