My favorite brother Steve Eckert was inspired to write about last week's Kokomo (IN) Smackdown at http://www.sprintcarstats.com/news/?i=18190

Hopefully, the pending legal issue being initiated by the Mike Dutcher team after their ridiculous exclusion from the final night's events due to a rogue sheriff-lady's vengeful self-absorption won't keep the Smackdown III from happening.

Haven't read it yet but my first Indiana bullring experience at Haubstadt this summer convinced me. Gotta see it some day & Sprint Week too.... oh yea, Midget Week ......

Read it. Excellent, tho some of the run on sentences were confusing. Use. A. Period. Now. And. Then.
I've always wanted to meet Kevin & herbalize. Now I think that the Frolic would qualify for my once or twice a year, special occasion beeahs.

The Kokomo Smackdown should be on everyone's bucket list. I like it better than Indiana Sprintweek nowadays.

Well done Steveo, the wonderful ability to put pen to paper (finger to key) is obviously not exclussively gifted on brother K. I look forward to more.....

I attended the very first smackdown at Kokomo in July of 1952. It wasn't really a smackdown more like a post race pit area biting, kicking, gouging and hair pulling melee. There were several combatants involved and come to think of it I guess there was some smacking and for sure some went down. Does that qualify as the first Kokomo smackdown?

dakob--That qualifies as a smackdown in my book. Either a smackdown, or a punchout or a dustup. Hopefully there hasn't been, nor will be, a Kokomo Bitedown.
