A Huge Thank You to USAC and the Oconner Family for having the second annual Kokomo Smackdown.  Dave Darland won the Title and took home all the lap money as well as a huge Ten Thousand Dollar Check.   Thanks to Spridge, USAC all the Fans and Drivers who raised all the Money for KICKIN CANCER and to see Jon Stanbrough have his stash shaved on for all the fans to see.   Great Racing and an event that everyone should put on their bucket list for next year.   Grandstands were standing room only, and the pits were packed with a ton of great sprint cars.   What a feature on Friday Night and some of the best racing I have seen all year long.    Darland was the last car out to qualify, and set a new track record, the track was that good.

Thanks again to all involved and see you next year.

The Smackdown is now at the top of my list for a "Must See" event each year. Everyone should put it on their bucket list of races to see.

At a lot of races the only time you see them 4 wide is the parade lap. At Kokomo 4 wide is a common occorance while racing, and occasionaly I have seen them 5 wide as well!

Check out You Tube for Kokomo Smackdown videos and see for yourself.
