Brett Miller finishes 10th in next to last weekend of GSC action

Watsonville, CA - July 23, 2007... With the 410 engine finally back under the hood, Chico’s Brett Miller drove to a 10th place finish at Watsonville’s Ocean Speedway during the next to last weekend of the Golden State Challenge Series season.
The driver known as the "Catfish" began the night by qualifying 14th quick and finishing third in his heat race. The youngster then lined up back in the 14th position in the 30 lap feature aboard the Care Free Pools, Platinum Powder Coating, Care Free Custom Graphics, Al’s Concrete No. 1x. Trying the car out high, low and in the middle, Brett moved forward and at the checkered flag sat in the 10th position, his eighth top 10 finish of the GSC season.
This weekend will see two big night’s of action in Chico to finish off the GSC schedule. Friday and Saturday night’s will see the Golden State Challenge Series hit the Silver Dollar Speedway for championship weekend. The high point driver of the weekend will receive a $1,000 bonus courtesy Mike & Carol McCann of Cherry St. Mini Storage.
The now 18 year-old driver will go into the weekend sitting sixth in GSC points, just 12 back of Jason Statler, and will look to wrap up the rookie of the year award with the series. Following this weekend’s GSC finale, Brett and Care Free Pools Racing will be competing every Friday night in Chico during the month of August.
