You simply can't deny superior excellence ....Donny Schatz is Knoxville Nationals Champion for the 3rd straight year and 7 of the last 8.....tonight he had to win the B to get in then drove from 21st to 5th in 24 laps.....then to 2nd and after a great move splitting 2 lapped cars chased down Brian Brown lap by lap in lapped traffic eventually making the pass and cruised to a convincing win becoming the deepest starting car to win in Nationals history......his personality (good or bad) is not the topic here....as a driver he is the absolute best without a doubt in our sport today and gets better every year......and honestly if you can't appreciate what he did and how he did it, and his dedication and determination to be perfect then you aren't a true race fan.....we all love the Nationals and come/expect to see the best racing in the world.....tonight you got that and then some.....gotta respect that like him or not

Wanted someone else to win--but, seeing him come from the B to win--it was amazing. Even the crowd seemed generally positive after the victory. There were very few boos. The ones that wanted to boo (like me), couldn't boo. How can you boo a performance like that? More cheering for him than I had ever heard--lot of people were pulling for him to come from that deep.

You're absolutely right! The guy is the best driver we've seen since Steve Kinser! Love him or hate him he defines excellence in our sport!
