FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BUD KAEDING OFF TO A STRONG START TO 2013 SEASON WITH FIVE WINS

CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA (August 6, 2013) – Driving primarily in BZE / Alivso Rock / K&N Filters-sponsored entries, Campbell's Bud Kaeding has scored five wins in a productive 2013 season.  The third generation driver and 2012 USAC West Coast 360 champion has his sights set on adding to his career accomplishments list in the second half of the season.

"We have had a really strong and consistent season this year," Kaeding said.  "Our team is firing on all cylinders and I think we will be on top of our game going into the bigger races."

Kaeding moved over to a full-time Amsoil USAC/CRA campaign this season and currently ranks fourth in the hotly contested standings.  He opened the year at Canyon Speedway Park in March with third and sixth place finishes, and has since scored five top-five finishes including a second place finish at Ocean Speedway Watsonville in June.

Watsonville has been Kaeding's domain this year across multiple different series.  Kaeding was the first driver to get to three wins in the hotly contested Ocean Sprints presented by Taco Bravo including scoring the first Johnny Key Classic qualifying race.  That win locked the 1996 Johnny Key Classic winner into the $10,000 to win, 2013 edition coming up on Saturday August 24th.

Not only has Kaeding won three features in the 360 ranks, he has accepted the Nobel Construction Back Row Challenge on three occasions, managing to charge into the top-three from the rear of the field in two of those three runs.  Kaeding also won the USAC Western Classic Racing Series kick off to the Howard Kaeding Classic in early July to add to his 2013 Ocean Speedway win total.

In the USAC West Coast 360 division, Kaeding has finished in the top-five in nearly every event he has entered and finished second on May 11th.  He is still looking for his first win in the division this season but has used consistency to rank third in the standings.

Kaeding has run with the Golden State King of the West 410 Sprints on three occasions this year, scoring two top-ten finishes with a sixth place run at Santa Maria Speedway and a fourth place run at Ocean Speedway Watsonville during the Howard Kaeding Classic.

The big race events in the second half of the season are where the Kaeding family shines and Bud would like to add to that history this year.  He has already positioned himself as a favorite for the 2013 Johnny Key Classic on August 24th, as the field will chase a $10,000 to win pool.  Kaeding will also be gunning for the USAC/CRA Louie Vermeil Classic at Calistoga the following weekend at the famed half-mile.

In October, Kaeding will search for his first Trophy Cup title and the eighth for the Kaeding family as he is entered in both the Wingless and Winged portions of the event.  The winged event carries a $25,000 to win purse for the highest point earner over Friday and Saturday racing, while the Thursday night highest point earner in wingless will earn $3,500.

Rounding out the major events that Kaeding has circled on his calendar in the Budweiser Oval Nationals with the USAC/CRA and USAC Amsoil National Sprint Cars at Perris Auto Speedway.  The event runs from October 31st-November 2nd and Kaeding will be in search of his fourth Oval Nationals crown.

Up next for Bud Kaeding is the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars racing at Ocean Speedway Watsonville on Friday night and Santa Maria Speedway on Saturday night.  Race fans can follow Bud Kaeding on Twitter @bud_kaeding

Bud Kaeding Racing would like to thank BZE, Alviso Rock, Kaeding Performance, K&N Filters, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, Butler Built Seats, Weld Racing, Factory Kahne shocks, Yak Graphics, FK Rod Ends, Maas Brothers Powder Coating, SCI Racing Products, Santomauro Racing Equipment, Schoenfeld Headres, Maxim Chassic, Bell Helmets, Maxima Oils, QTM Brakes, Flowmaster, ATL Fuel Cells, Winters Performance, Z Gallery, and Steve Williams Roofing for their support.
