For those elsewhere you missed some incredible heat races at Pevely. If this isn't the best track in the country, it's top 5 for sure.

Racing was good, but starting the feature at 12:06a, holding fans til the other 2 support class features were over was not cool... It was like 2a when that was over. yikes!

Great for Dollansky, thought he'd be challenging for the title this year for sure. Hell of a driver but Schatz from 13th to 2nd, what can you say, that's is incredible in a field of cars like that. Too bad the guy gets no credit on this sick forum. Hate a guy for winning and don't let anyone talk about him. If someone posts something postive on here about him, before the day is over, it's been shoved to page 2, people just post and post to push it out of the limelight. Been going on for years. I'm sure the Brit who posted he can't get this forum from England must wonder why the greatest driver out there for years now is dismissed on this forum and not mentioned other than the frequent donut boy or fatty word or whatever. Actually saw Kinser up close in Fergus Falls and talk about a gut. In his last trimester I think but don't dare call him, an actually fatty/donut boy and you will be shunned.

Sounds a LOT like another little bullring located in South Dakota.
Great facilities and the potential for great racing but the management couldn't get much worse.

Tend to agree, while tHe racing was great, adding another division may have been the worst promoter move made at anyrace I've been to this year.

It is called GREED. They schedule a big show and then run far too much support classes, plus reworking the track numerous times. I guess that gives them the oportunity to sell more high dollar hot dogs and beer. Don't ever recall a track that could screw around more than last night at the IronMan show.

yeah, and I'm a big fan of Pevely but I just don't understand from a business sense, the short term gain (concession sales) versus the longer term losses in potential fans. Around midnight even young people, and younger families were leaving. Why take a chance on turning off potential long term fans like that. You have tons of people driving 2-3 hours away, then make them sit through a second support class feature instead of running the advertised event? Just not smart.
All that said, the WoO at Pevely is incredible and the run by Schatz up to second and Dollansky getting his third IronMan is very cool

The sportsman class was scheduled to run Friday, and the modifieds on Saturday. Since the sportsman cars were already signed in on Friday the moved them to the Saturday program to accommodate them. That being said all of the racing was good, and TK was fuming when he walked off of the track.
