The legendary Brent Kaeding will make his Stockton 99 Dirt Track debut on Saturday as he guns for his first King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series win of the year. The National Sprint Car Hall of Famer currently ranks sixth in the KWS point standings, but is just 10-markers back of fifth running Jason Statler. Kaeding is coming off an eighth place finish last weekend in Santa Maria and will be looking to move his way up the order in Stockton aboard the famed Al’s Roofing Supply No. 69 Sprint Car.
“We’re really looking forward to Stockton on Saturday and hope all the fans are too,” said the Campbell, California veteran. “It’s always nice to have new tracks come into the mix and Tony Noceti has done a great job with the Stockton 99 Dirt Track. I’ve been to a lot of places and this track is definitely unique with the layout of the facility. Those grandstands are pretty awesome and it certainly looks like a fast & racy track. All in all if you’re a Sprint Car fan then Stockton is the place to be on Saturday and we invite everyone to come out and have some fun.”
Kaeding has won the Golden State/ King of the West 410 title a record 13-times in his career and is the winningest Winged 410 Sprint Car driver in the history of the sport in California. When people think of Sprint Car racing in the Golden State, Kaeding is the man that has been synonymous with it for over 30-years.
Brent Kaeding will also be a part of our pre-race meet & greet on Saturday just inside the front gate when it opens at 5pm. It will be your chance for autographs, photo opportunities and for any questions you may have about the cars and the sport in general. So if you have any old BK merchandise or paraphernalia bring it out and get there at 5pm to get it signed.
The event on August 3 will mark the 14th round of competition for the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series and the first of two season appearances at the Stockton 99 Dirt Track. The other will occur on Saturday November 2 and will also serve as championship night, with some special items on tap that will be announced soon.
The front gate will open at 5pm on Saturday August 3 with qualifying around 6:30pm and racing anticipated to start at about 7pm. Adult tickets will cost $20, seniors & military will be $15, kids six to 12 will be $10 and children five and under free. Parking will also be at a reduced rate on August 3 with it being just $5 to park.
The Stockton 99 Dirt Track is located on the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds with the physical address being 1658 S Airport Way, Stockton, CA 95206

Willie Croft was able to fend off various challenges from Jonathan Allard over the course of the main event last Saturday in Santa Maria and came home second in the Tri-C Manufacturing No. 3c Sprinter. For the Sacramento driver it was his s...ixth podium finish of the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series season. “It was a good run for us and it was nice to be back up on the podium for Clyde & Marion Lamar and the whole Tri-C team,” he said. “We’ll now go on to Stockton and see if we can get another win there.”

Croft, in his first season driving for the Lamar family, picked up a victory at the Stockton 99 Dirt Track on June 21 during a non-sanctioned 360 Sprint Car event and will be gunning to duplicate that performance when KWS invades the 3/8 mile clay oval on Saturday. The driver known as “Double Down” has wheeled the Lee Lindgren wrenched Tri-C Machine to eight top-five finishes throughout the first 13 King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series events of the season.

Willie Croft will also be a part of our pre-race meet & greet on Saturday just inside the front gate when it opens at 5pm. It will be your chance for autographs, photo opportunities and for any questions you may have about the cars and the sport in general.
