OK, I'll bite, which Peterson are we talking about? What track was he racing on, and what was the incident that prompted your informative and opiniated post?

Most young drivers are agressive and tend to get upside down on a semi-regular basis. Unfortunately, they tear other racers stuff up in the process. Given seat time, I'm sure he will begin to figure things out. Better yet, make him start footing the bill for some of the equipment he tears up and then he will think twice about trying to place the car where his talent can't go. He will get better.

Like he's any worse than Tasker Phillips. Or Sawyer Phillips in the 305's. This is the 1st season Tasker has not torn up a lot of cars (his and others) by driving way over his head.

How profound snowtown ...........you have no idea who or what your talking about ,this guy is a multi millionair and he has trashed probably 8 cars this year and that includes a 6 week layoff with broken vertbre he is not getting better and has no clue of DRIVING the car he has hit everything but the lottery and continues to do stupid things and not really that fast either and on top of that he is not a kid. but if you get a chance go watch him there will be a major crash and it will be because of him . Most the time a guy that is a self made millionare is smater than this guy .

I remember as a kid a young Kerry Madsen destroying about a car a week at Knoxville. One time he was leading the A feature on a fast heavy track and checked out running the cushion. Had at least a straightaway lead in only a few laps. Jumpted the cushion coming out of 4 and flipped all the way down the frontstretch. Seems maybe he wasn't driving over his talent, just over his skill level. And eventually his skill caught up to his talent. A younger Craig Dollansky tore a ton of stuff up at Knoxville too.
I see Tasker this year and I think his skill is starting to catch up to his talent. Dont' know Peterson, but maybe he'll get better and his apparently huge set up nuts will result in a fast racer.
My dad talked about a guy named Doug Wolfgang who was like this in his younger days at Knoxville as well.

Let's give the guy some more races before people pass judgement. Granted, he may be racing a class above his head with the 410's, but there are a lot of guys who tear stuff up before settling down. I'm not saying he is the next wolfgang, but give him a bit.

Does the infamous Peterson have a first name?
I have no problem with someone learning, but when it always comes at the expense of others the situation needs to be evaluated.

I thought he has been racing for a couple of years & remember seeing things on here about other drivers that he got rid of because they wasn't producing.
Is his 1st name Peter .

The 4x has mostly run ASCS National races. He broke his neck and got a concussion at the ASCS National race at US-36 in Cameron, MO earlier this year. He has run Knoxville in both a 410 and 360 the past few weeks, which I believe is the first races since coming back from injury. He's the typical slow, windshield wiper driver that really pisses off just about everybody else that is faster and can't get by without nearly wrecking all their sh**. From last night, add Russ Hall to the list of drivers that he has pissed off at Knoxville! He's just fast enough to be dangerous in a 360. In a 410, he's usually battling with Robert Bell for last in the B... a big contrast in budgets!! The only thing I can say about the 4x is it's a pretty sharp looking paint scheme..

ok...all we need is an enforced minimum speed...which I have favored for a decade.
the learning curve problem is compounded when you are on a momentum track.

This clown is just as bad in a 600 minisprint, so it isn't the size or the speed, IT'S THE DRIVER!!
In fact saw him run ASCS in Texarkana and he wrecked himself and others during a dang caution!!!

Most tracks have guys like this and for some reason the the tracks will not control these types of guys.I race against a 2s,pair of 5's at Lernerville that are unguided lawndarts with out feathers.Cause all kinds of wrecks and problems and its always someone else that did it according to them.
