Looking for a place to stay in my truck close to track, have been there many times but this year I will be alone, so no camper or motel needed, i can shower at the school. I dont want to park somewhere & get arrested for trespassing!!! I will only be there for wed. & thurs. nights. any help would be great, thanks

I would try the track parking lot, or Hy-Vee.

It is illegal to "camp" in any public place (some "campers" were awoken by Police last year around 4:00 AM by camping in their cars in public parking areas.
You can "camp" in some people's yards though (city streets are a no/no, HyVee Parking lot is a no/no for camping as well (due to all spaces being reserved for parking all week).
Park in someone's yard for $10 and ask them if you can camp for the night before you pull out to go shower @ the high school or the Rec Center. Gives you a place to park and a place to crash for the night.

What about next to the Armory? I'm not sure how they do that, but there seemed to be more room there than usual last year. Showers are right there, and I believe they do breakfast every morning.
