Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Perhaps saturated would be more accurate and kind than infested.  I don't want to antagonize anyone here.  Informing those in the dark is my only goal.

Nope.  Doesn't make much sense does it?

Until a Ford can win a major 410 event (Nationals, Silver Cup, King's Royal, etc) this is nothing to waste cyber space with!

Agreed, its a big difference between an ASCS regional race and winning a career defining show.

or we could go back to bitching about low car counts - or about too many sprint cars at the Nationals.

I believe this thread is about RY motors and not about the Vivarin car.

Nope but its history and its long ago history.

Its been nearly 2 decades since there has been a Ford that has been a real threat to win the big shows.

The fastest Ford this Country has ever witnessed was the Bud Grimm Special in the mid to late 60's with Ray Tilley racking up 88 wins in a 2 year span. 1 motor only ever used. 351 w/Gurney heads. Demolished the Bowtie brigade week in & week out.

A Trevis Craft sprint car. The Cadillac of race cars in that period of time of the sport we all worship!!!

Then say "It's been nearly 2 decades since there has been a Ford that has been a real threat to win the big shows." instead of saying "Until a Ford can win a major 410 event (Nationals, Silver Cup, King's Royal, etc) this is nothing to waste cyber space with!"..............
