4th Annual Sprint Car Showdown set for 2013 Sioux Speedway Finale during the Sioux County Fair July 17
The 4th Annual Ver Hoef Automotive Sprint Car Showdown will be the 2013 Sioux Speedway finale during the Sioux County Fair on the half mile in Sioux Center, Iowa on Wednesday, July 17. This will be the opening event for the 2013 JSTS Speedweek tour featuring JSTS 360 Winged Sprints. Last year thirty sprint cars from throughout the US and Canada took to the track to compete with Canadian Lou Kennedy, Jr. taking the trophy back to Manitoba. This year's winner will take home $2000 and it is $300 just to start the main event. Also on hand for this event will be Late Model Street Stocks, Steve Brouwer Trucking B-Modifieds, and the B and B Salvage Hobby Stocks. Pit gates open at 5:00, grandstands at 6:00, and racing will start at 7:00 for this racing evening. Adult admission will be $17, kids 9-12 only $5, and ages 8 & under FREE. We will see you at the fair.

The weather is great in Northwest Iowa today. There should be a good field of JSTS sprints on hand tonight.

Brian Brown was the first car to pull in around 2:30 today. I think there will be a strong field of 360 sprint cars on hand tonight.
