Just wanted to comment on the WOO show at Beaver Dam on Saturday night. There was soaking rain for days leading up to the event--even that morning before the event. We actually got re-routed 2 times on our way to the track due to water over the highways! The grass parking area was pure mud and the pits opened late due to the amount of mud they had to scrape off to let the haulers in.
With all of that said, they managed to start the races within about 1/2 hour of the scheduled start time! The track looked like it was going to be terrible during hot laps and yet, they kept working on it and working on it--and it came in very nicely I thought. The heat races were pretty good for heat races and I thought the dash was about as good of a dash as I have ever seen. Lots of swapping of positions behind the leader during the feature. With all of that said, we were back to our hotel at midnight.
I don't know who coordinated that effort, but take a bow! I thought they did a great job considering the circumstances!

It really was a great night! One other thing I noticed that was impressive to me, was that there weren't any bad crashes. So props to the drivers. track was super greasy early. Very feathery throttle action for a while.

Yes, very greasy early and then by the end of the dash, they could've made it around the corners wide open with 20% more horsepower. Incredible the way the track came around and got very racy throughout the night.
