MANUFACTURE PERFORMANCE RANKINGS
Tulsa Oklahoma (June 27, 2013) – The "Manufacture Performance Rankings”
are getting very interesting after the tenth event on the 2013 OCRS
schedule held at the Outlaw Motorsports Park last Saturday night.
The win by DSO Engines / XXX chassis pilot Danny Smith allowed both his
chassis and engine builder brands make up some ground on their
counterparts.
Smith placed XXX chassis in a tie with Maxim
chassis for second place in the chassis manufacture standings with 21
points apiece. XXX has the tiebreaking nod at the moment with 4 wins
compared to 3 for Maxim chassis. Eagle Motorsports still leads the
chassis charts with 29 points.
In the engine builder
category, Smith pushed Dyno Services of Oklahoma (DSO) into a very tight
battle for the top spot as the 5 points earned for the win at OMP made
for a scant three-point separation with Boyd Racing Engines leading
Wesmar Racing Engines by only 2 points while DSO and STK Racing Engines
are only a single point behind Wesmar. Four makes only three points
apart. Competition at its finest.
All kinds of shake-ups
can occur this weekend as the OCRS series will conduct a doubleheader
weekend. Friday night will be a ‘non-wing’ event at the Brill Motor
Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma. Saturday night will see the ‘winged’
sprints enter “Lanny’s House’ at the Lawton Speedway. The next MPR
report could look a lot different. Stay tuned.
